Thanks buddy..yes I'm going to install non illuminated scuff sill plates..will check with the dealer...
For non-illuminated ones, get it from any aftermarket shop near your place. Dealer will charge double or triple the price you will get at a shop. Since it does not involve wire cuts or modifications, any aftermarket shop can fit it without any damage to the car or warranty.

Hello,

If you are looking for entry level 3d mats (I mean around 1k) then you can check out Stinzo brand 3d floor mats. Click here.

I had bought it recently and it was very good. Here is my post with the picture of the mat but its regarding my issue with the paytm. Below that, you will find another post of mine which has details about Eagle 3d mat that I'm using now but its for 3rd gen Honda City.

Thanks...
Best Regards

One update...today I gave my car for its 4th service and I told the guys to check the grinding noise coming from engine bay.And finally they agreed that alternator or bearing is faulty and will replace that part.I told this thing on the second service but they were not listening to me but now they are agreed that its coming.I will update you guys once they will replace it and will tell you the after effect of that.
Also they were saying about rattling in dashboard that they contacted honda regarding this issue but nobody is replying with the permanent solution to this so as per the service guy honda itself could not rectify it and that means that New Honda City is not designed properly by the engineers.
there is similar "Rattling Noise" from my City as well... I had shown this issue ASC near my office, where I am frequent to. Last time the guy told me there is the some "Bush" which holding the dashboard, that has worn out, which needs to be changed. For that, they need to get the entire "Dash Board" opened up. I was thinking to get that done during the official "Re-Call" for change of Air-Bags.

Btw, Friends, any news on the "Re-Call" ?

Cheers

Hi..I recently bought a iVTEC VX MT and changed the OE horns with Hella black pearl trumpet horns. Sound is so crisp and clear. To avoid damage to the wiring, the OE horns were replaced with Hellas. No relay required.

You can also try the chrome finish trumpet horns from hella which costs extra to the black pearls.

You should add a relay to be on a safer side. The current draw of OEM horns and your Hellas might be different and evne though the wiring would allow for more current draw, your horns will not be able to perform well when sudden current draw is required.

Thanks ice_wise.. I will check with electrician and will add the relay if required.

I just had a glance over Hella horns spec and this is what I found:

Hella Strong Tone - x2 48w (This is the stock horn fitted from factory)
Hella Black Twin Tone Trumpet - x2 72w (This is same as black pearl trumpet)

Source: PDF

So the current drawn by trumpet horns is 24w or 2 amps more then stock. If there is already a relay fitted from factory then we don't need to worry but I'm finding the proof. I have fitted Bosch Symphony Horns without relay in my car and have not faced issues past 18 months but I'm still bothered about relay.

However, adding relay isn't a easy task and not a good idea for warranty applicable cars.

Yes that is true. Adding a relay for dual horn won't be an easy task in cars. And the current draw is 2 Amps more as you said, so you should check if your car has company fitted relay. You might consider an upgrade to Minda 30 amp relay if Honda ASS can do this.

If you feel a change in power/intensity of the horns when battery is stressed (like headlights, wipers, etc. on or while long usage of horn). One way I recollect (though not sure if it is safe to do this) is press your horn and start (crank) the car, if the tone fluctuates then there is no relay (or the relay needs upgrade). With a proper relay, the horn tone will not change no matter what.

Hello friends,

Took delivery of my iVTEC VX MT Orchid Pearl white this sunday and i'm so happy with the car. Need your advice where i can get illuminated sill guard and chrome beading for the windows? whether these can be done at dealer place or outside is good? I am from Bangalore and any leads about this will be highly appreciated.

TIA[:)]
Got fixed the non illuminating Sill/Scuff guard (Rs.750) & 3D Spider Kagu mats(Rs.5500). 3D Kagu mats are snug fit and give a classy look inside the car. Will share the pics soon.
