Nokia is slated to announce the Nokia Lumia 1520, a 6-inch Windows Phone with 1080P resolution later this month with an anticipated November release. More photos of the device have been revealed to the Verge by one of their readers, Kaz, who took pictures of the upcoming device next to a Sony Xperia Z.

The device reportedly comes with 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage with microSD expansion, Snapdragon 800 processor and of course the 1080P display. It’s also been reported that it will have a 20 MP camera on the rear with a design similar to the Lumia 925’s slight camera bump.

We have heard from our sources that a stylus won’t be included, though it may be offered later. Information in this regard is still unclear. The Lumia 1520 will feature Windows Phone 8 GDR3, which will feature new additions like Driving Mode, Glance notifications, improved Bluetooth support, orientation lock and more as has been exposed in this weekend’s detailed leaks on the update.

The person who released the photos of the high quality photos of the Nokia Lumia 1520 on the Verge has also been kind enough to drop a sample on us, this time of the camera settings, which confirms the device takes 16 megapixel pictures that can also be oversampled into 5 megapixel photos for sharing.

The camera setting also indicated Face Detection is available.


The setting does not confirm or deny that the device has a 20 megapixel camera, as in some aspect ratios the camera may not be able to take advantage of its full pixel count.

Hopefully the camera will allow direct access to the 16 megapixel photos, unlike on the 1020, where users need to physically connect their phone to their PC to unload them.

Happy to hear you got it repaired and do not want to sell. Any electronic device can undergo through such malfunctioning regardless, whether it is Samsung, HTC, Apple, Nokia or Sony. What really matters here is the service backup you get. Glad to know that u got it repaired as early as possible.

Thanks for the information about Nokia Pro Camera application. I tried the method mentioned in that blog but could not successfully install initially. Tried few times by trying different settings ad finally I got it installed in my 820. Its an awesome application. Picture quality is improved remarkably. Thanks for your updates once again.

Finally found NCS means - Nokia Care Suite

Nokia India shuts online music store

Closure is part of company’s mobile first strategy




Less than two weeks after the U.S software giant Microsoft acquired Nokia’s handset business, Nokia India has shut down the web version of its digital music store.

“This Nokia music site is no longer available. You can still enjoy Nokia Music on most Nokia phones,” the company’s India website said.

According to a note, users will no longer be able download music from Nokia Music through a web browser, the Nokia music player or Aditi. Henceforth, users will only be able to download new music through an active Nokia Music Unlimited subscription; indicating that for now, only the web version has been pulled out.

“All Nokia Music Unlimited compatible phones will come with a free period of Nokia Music Unlimited subscription, after which you may be able to renew your subscription,” the website said.

A company spokesperson, however, pointed out that the closure is part of Nokia’s mobile first strategy.

“Nokia Music remains hugely committed to provide Indian consumers with a great music service.

“We communicated the ramp down of desktop downloads in India back in 2011 as part of our mobile first strategy. We will continue to invest significantly in the success of Nokia Music in India,” the spokesperson said.

Launched in July 2009, Nokia Music store offered songs across various genres. In 2010, the company introduced the Ovi Music Unlimited service, now Nokia Music Unlimited, which allowed customers to download songs for free for one year with purchase of select devices.

My Nokia Lumia, this is the shot for Qualcomm Photo contest, I took this pic in the last min of submission ,

I already replaced the touch pad of the phone under warranty, now phone is working fine.
