Conclusion
Nokia has taken much of the key hardware from the Lumia 920 and wrapped it up inside a slimmer, lighter and arguably more luxurious body. The addition of the glass lens makes an already superb camera even better. Sure, the screen isn't Full HD and the dual-core processor won't impress Galaxy S4 owners, but you're unlikely to notice this in everyday use.

The main drawback is still the lack of good new apps in the Windows Phone app store, but otherwise, the 925 is a brilliant phone. If you're after a truly brilliant camera though, you might want to hold onto your money just in case Nokia launches the much-rumoured Lumia EOS.

So guys here i am, with android user myself but brought Lumia 720 yesterday and took delivery today morning for wife.Its a superb handset no doubt with screen resolution, camera, touch motions, sleek design and light.Played few games when went to check at near by nokia priority store to let the wife have a look before finalising the deal.
No lag, no hang, everything worked smooth and perfect, apps, live feeds on the main page itself, nice awesome screen clarity which we saw a video as well, voice clarity everything was superb and we loved the handset for the price we were paying as against the options i had.
My only issue is why no removable battery given in this handset.
Else its at home and kept on charge so will check and surf more once i reach back home.
This is a perfect thread to share and to ask the queries.

Congrats Vijay.720 is best looking phone than plastic Grand.Grand doesn't have good battery life.

Guys as ill go thru the complete thread as and how i can read posts if you guys can share the details of good apps that tobe downloaded from store, mainly for gallery for pics, media files, shortcuts for tabs for wifi,data,power savers and all soft keys,and others that are needed for routine usage so dont go and search them and rather get them downloaded.
Need for music, which one and hows the nokia online store which allows free downloadings,
does they have video downloadings as well
also need an app for pictures gallery,editing and all like say picsay,photogrid kind of apps if needed
do i need to check for updates, and they are OTA updates like android right?
does it make the same kind of .vcf file for contacts backup
any other inputs please do share.

Off line voice guided navigation - nokia here

Do check app likes nokia city lens .

Infact go to store and click on nokia exclusives most of them are usefull and free .

Battery status app with shortcuts for wifi , airplane mode , Bluetooth , data - battery

Updates - are over the air .

Contact backups on any live I'd

Nokia music - unlimited download of songs ( international included )

What's else you particularly want ?

The usual suspects like what's app , viber , Skype , Facebook , youtube twitter all are there .

Infact Facebook and twitter are integrated in the os itself .

Big fix app that comes with the 720 allows you to download movies also .

In July nokia will have another update which bring double tap to wake the phone and a real time watch displayed even when the phone is sleeping and some exciting camera features .

I heard from the seller that there is some update coming up sooner for some fixing for camera, any idea about that.
Guys any suggestions for the casing for 720, i dont want a flip type but the back casing, shall go for gel type clear casing or hard coloured black ones?
Any online thing if can share.

The camera is already good ,the update will bring more enhancements like smart shoot and some others.

WhatsApp on windows phone 8 is horrible. It's a complete battery hog. I don't know why devs are not updating the app. Last update was in Feb!! Any users experiencing the same?

Yes there are many apps for indian railways.

WhatsApp on windows phone 8 is horrible. It's a complete battery hog. I don't know why devs are not updating the app. Last update was in Feb!! Any users experiencing the same?

Bro my whats app is on 24hrs my battery goes for 1 and half day .how much does your last ? And which phone are you using ?

520 bro. Continuous texting for half an hr to 45 mins or so drains 25-35% of the battery. I heard that Whatsapp is a battery hog on windows because it uses the audio streaming api to stay alive in the background. Its not a proper background task now. The new Whatsapp betas fix that but the update is not rolling out at all. My battery once went from 100% to 30% in three hours or so one time! :O

Bro I never use whatts app for chatting non stop its just on in the background,but nowi will keep a eye and will let u know

Not continous texting as such but still complete battery hog.

me too use whatsapp on mom's 520. using whatsapp starts giving me alerts from the battery app that my battery is draining too quickly. i do not get such alerts from games or viber or even skype for that matter. me too lost 12-13 percent in 30 minutes. but when my mom uses without me touching the phone, she gets day and half almost 2 days on charge. she doesnt open whatsapp much though.
