Will suggest you to go for some other alloys than Dzire ZDI alloys. They do not look good IMO. VDI do not come with Alloys. So, why you need to go for ZDI Alloys. There are lots of good alloys from different makers in the market. Believe me, that will look good than ZDI alloy for sure !!
Ok but i have a question. If i fit aftermarket alloys and after say 1 year and the car hits a big pothole and one of the alloys bend during impact. If the aftermarket alloy company by that time had stopped producing that design how will i find the replacement for my single bend alloy? If i go for Maruti's alloys i am sure the alloys will be produced for a minimum of 10 years atleast.

Regards,
Sankar

You get warranty on Alloys right? And do not think too much in these cases [glasses]
If you want, buy 5 alloys instead of 4 :D ! You are not going to bend alloys. Think Positive and Be +ve :)

Hi Sankar,

If you are so much keen on Dzire OEM alloys and if you are not able to get from MGP please try to get in touch with OEM Alloy manufacturers. They may produce it for you based on order :

Welcome to Neo Wheels - No. 1 Official Brand

http://www.alloywheelsindia.com/product1.php

NK Minda Group

Thanks,
Anshuman
Thanks Anshuman for contacting the MGA dealer in Bangalore.

MGA showroom in Trivandrum is ready to order the alloys and will deliver the alloys in 15 days. Costs will come around 16k with tax. But i need to shell out another 2k for putting the alloys, wheel alingment and balancing. Total costs is 18k[frustration]

Sankar

Then don't get them done from MASS, simple.
I was quoting the price at New Bharath Tires in Trivandrum. I don't know the prices of puting them on at MASS and doing wheel alignment and Wheel balancing. As per the manager i talked to at MASS he says he will provide me free wheel alignment and Wheel balancing if i purchase the alloys from there.

Sankar

Dude one need's to look at the road conditions here in Trivandrum before putting in their money approx 20k for alloys. Roads are full of potholes even in highways. I have had cases of bend alloys for some of my friends who used to travel a lot between cities in Kerala. My routine will also be something similar so i need to look into these aspects before my purchase.

Sankar

Hi All,

Will MASS allow owners into their service areas? As i have installed high end audio system, while servicing stupid engineers might abuse my audio system.

2) DLAA Fod Lamps:-

Switch for fog lamp. Once park light is engaged just press this switch to switch on the fog lamp. Convenient as one doesn't need to switch on the fog lamps all the time. First switch is for the Roots horn and second switch for the fog lamps.

3) Root Vibrosonic Horn with wiring kit installed

4) Black Vinyl Flooring and Star 3D mats

5) Autographics Dashboard panel stickers and Car air freshner

The car has come out very well with all those add-ons you have done. Just couple of points :

1. You have put the sub in a ported box (that too dual). You should've used a sealed box instead. If possible have the sub shifted in a sealed box and audition it. You'll be floored.
2. i don't have a liking for faux wood. But if you like it then it's OK.

The seat covers look very nice, nice design too.

Completely understand your concern buddy. Now, if you source alloys from companies like Neo, Plati, Lenso, I dont think you will come across with the issue of unavailability. Even if the design gets discontinued, the alloys can be sourced from the dealers or aftermarket shops.
Now coming to your point of bad roads. I have been driving on almost non-existant roads of jharkhand (Alto LX) with Plati alloys for almost 2 years without any damage. So rest assured, the alloys are pretty strong and if you are going for a reputed brand, then you dont have to worry much. Rest is your decision[:)].

Already the bass is too much for the car(Not me ofcourse). The whole car vibrates if the volume is increased to more than 20(I suspect the max voulme is 35 or 40) and i listen at volumes of 9-11 range. Even at this low volume the bass is excellent. Can you please explain the difference between a sealed box and a ported box? My box is designed for Innova but i selected this box because the larger the size of box much better will be the effect of subwoofer. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Nice Mods there, Shankar.

A sealed box will give you much better sound quality across the entire frequency band with excellent tight bass with great clarity. It will also allow you to have some extra boot space, as a sealed box requires a smaller size than a ported box.

I too have a ported box , Pioneer Sub-1200W which gives more of a powerful Bhooomh Bhooomh effect rather than a more desirable Bhumhm Bhumhm without compromising on the sound clarity.

With respect to the faux wood inserts, a darker[dark greyish] shade and more of a plane design would look better to my liking. I would also have avoided it there, near the windshield. It doesn't matter as long as you love it.[clap]

1) I am ok with the left over boot space as my Dzire still can swallow up more than twice the luggage my i10 can manage. So i am ok with ported box taking more boot space than a sealed box.

2) I wanted a Bhooomh Bhooomh effect rather than a Bhumhm Bhumhm and i first decided on a bass tube but then my car accessories guy advised me to go for a ported box with subwoofer which will give much better sound clarity and good bass. I am spending almost 1lakhs on my audio system so always wanted the more powerful bhoom effect:stupid:

Your car audio setup looks cool. How much do you rate the performance of your components? Are you planning for an ICE upgrade?

Sankar
