alloys you can find in new barath tyres near to international airport , trivandrum . they have wide collections.

planning for tyre upsize also?
New Bharat Tires have a good reputation for being one of the most expensive tire shops in Trivandrum. For example wheel alignment and balancing will cost 500rs in most shops in Trivandrum but in New Bharat Tires it will cost 1000rs. Yes one must admit they have an extensive choice of alloys there.

Maybe the way I put it was not clear.

The enclusures are made to the specs of the sub and not according to the boot or anything of the car. There is nothing like box for Innova and box for Dzire. But it's like box for Focal 12", box for RF 12", box for Boston Acoustic 10", box for Polk momo 12".

The loud bass you are referring to is actually hollow bass. It's all boom boom and no acoustics. I guess you have to try out your sub in a correct box and that too sealed and then only you'll understand what I am saying.

But, say you are happy with what you have put in and it's output then just leave these technicalities aside. [;)]
Basically i am happy with the sound from my subwoofer. I understood what you meant by bass being crisp from a sealed box. Basically the bass you get from a 5.1 or 7.1 creative speakers used in home PC right? Bass will sound clear and crisp. In my car the bass shatters a bit and has a bhoom bhoom effect.

I thought about going for 14in alloys like those that came with old Dzire ZDi but when i saw some awesome black alloys at car accessories shop now i am totally confused. Should i go for after market alloys? Maruti 14in alloys that came with old Dzire will cost 16k while after market 14in alloys from Racing wheels and HR will costs 15k.

Hi Sankar,

The car looks absolutely stunning after all finishing being done.

Did you decide about the alloys yet. It would be easier to go for after market ones. Pilate, HR, Evo, Aura brands are well known.
Also if possible try to source from Bangalore/Delhi. A round trip train fare even in 3AC will be cheaper than the diff amount I guess.

Cheers,
Anshuman

@sankar,
Changing/changed almost everything including alloys. What about the Tyres ? You are not going for changing tires to a smooth ones?

The only change i made to my car was up-sizing the tyre to 185/70 R14 (Michellin XM1+). Don't you think comfort as a primary factor than Luxury-look?

Now tire shops have Michellin XM2 which costs 5k per tire for 185/65 R14 spec. My tires which are 600kms old in 10 days will only fetch 2k per tire. So it's a total loos to me considering i don't drive too fast and the current Bridgestone 175/65 R14 are doing ok. Now i am looking for 14in alloys and Hella/Philips DRL.

Any members who have info on Hella/Philips DRL please advise me.

It should be 185/70 and not 65 (as per my knowledge). Your tyre should be 165/80 right? Are you sure it is 175/65 ? Previously Dzire LDI/VDI were coming with 165/80.

And it is not for the speed, but for the comfort. Most of the bumpy roads are taken care to an extend with up-sizing this XM2. I think if you bargain, you may get a better deal.

I understood the difference between stock ones and XM1+ in first 12 km. 6Km from showroom to tyre shop, and 6 km back from tyre shop to showroom. I was asking my friend 'whether this roads are so bad to give bumpy feeling'. He said 'you will understand soon'. When we fixed the tyre and went back to showroom, I could feel the difference in it (considering the stock ones not over filled the air). I never thought the difference would be noticeable in short distance.. I got 2100 for stock and 2300rs i gave extra per tyre. It came up to 13K for 5 tyres. I am so happy with my decision. The seat cover - I am not happy with the quality of it :(

Yours were just 6kms old tires and still you got only 2100/tire. Mine is already 600kms old so i won't get even 2000/tire. Considering my tires actually cost more than 3k selling them now would be a big loss to me na?

Excellent choice. I loved the black one (first one) in the Smoke series. It will look great on your white Dzire.
Sorry i didn't mention this in my previous post. I am looking for black alloys as it will go well with my white colored Dzire. Did you check out other black 14in alloys listed in the Neo website? Do you have any suggestions?

Even the Thrust design (red lipped and all black one) is fine but not very sure how it will look on your DZire.

My favorites are Axis Design, Smoke Design, Titan Design, Vertigo Desin and Sift Design. Confused because i like most of these designs. Don't know how these alloys will look for my Dzire.[confused]
