Hi Sankar,

I would like to add a few smaller things to your add on list (if you like chrome)

You can add :
1. Chrome ring around a.c. vent
2. Chrome ring around gear lever
3. Chrome ring around Speaker vent in front door inside panel.

Are you going with Ldi/Tour instrument cluster or you want to upgrade to Vdi/Zdi type.

Attached photos for your reference:

Hi Anshuman i am not able to find these parts. Please help me out if you know someone who has these. MGA guys say its just sticker and they don't have it with them.

Currently i am sticking to LDi instrument cluster because VDi instrument cluster costs 2K for the whole unit and i don't want to waste such an chrome ring.

Regards,
Sankar

Thats exactly the reason i would want to buy Dzire Tour as well if i had to, to have proper boot to utilise.
All the accessory is available outside at much cheaper rate and also in better quality for some of the parts where dealers would just try to reap as much as they can.
Waiting for some pictures and updates of your purchase sankar.
Sure Vijay. Will upload photos of Tour once i receive the car.[:)]

Cheers,
Sankar

Hello all,

@ Sankar, One last question: You have bought the left ORVM; does it also come with the plastic cover from inside? Or, do you know if it can be purchased separately. May be you are interested too to know it.

I will try to upload photos soon; take care.

Regards, Manjax
What do you mean by plastic cover in mirror? I bought the mirror which cost 900Rs and it also requires a mirror garnish which was 400Rs. I don know what you mean by plastic cover from inside.

Also can you post pictures of power windows switches and how they look after install please?

Regards,
Sankar

I will try to check if any MASS/MGP store has these in Bangalore. You can also call a few shops in JC Road to inquire. If possible can you provide these part numbers.

The instrument cluster upgrade apart from giving you chrome rings will give you valuable tachometer.

All, I need a suggestion regarding the power windows. Currently, the dealer has fitted Autocop (pictures pending in my tracker); I was totally annoyed because I was hoping he only uses MGA (warranty and reliability). I was demanding to remove Autocop and install MGA; below are the details:

1251 99000M99587 Power Window Kit (front) SWIFT DZIRE 6500
1252 99000M99588 Power Window Kit (rear) SWIFT DZIRE 4900

Note: Since they are separate, driver side controls are not available for all 4 windows with MGA; but autocop has that feature

Now, my question is - Should I still demand the dealer to remove Autocop and install MGA? I know repeated repairs mean some toll on equipment; also, he may not be in a good mood while doing so. Anybody has any idea what I might be losing with this replacement? I cannot understand the damages which the wiring will undergo.

Thanks, Manjax

Yes its a separate product with id and you have to buy it separately from MGA

Maruti doesn't manufacture power windows. They just re-brand Autocop or GD power windows into there own as MGA. In case of current MGA power windows i suspect it's Autocop's that's branded as MGA. As you have already installed Autocop's power windows you don't need to replace them with MGA as MGA power windows driver side controls can only cover 2 front doors and rear ones are separate power windows. Autocop's power windows comes with the same 2 year replacement warranty as that of MGA so no issues there. My suggestion is that if the Autocop's power windows are working ok then no need to replace them as you are already in a fight with the dealer he might not do installation properly.

Thanks for the pics Manjax.

Car looks awesome but don't you need to change the front grill to make it look like Dzire VDi? Also they have given you new Dzire's side beeding which will not cover the car's entire length. The old Dzire side beeding is longer and will cover the car's whole length and the wheel cups are also the new Dzire wheel cups. Some of my observations from your pics[:)]

Hi Sankar,

Actually, the black stickers are all removed; I removed the pics of back because I did not know how to mask the number plate.

BTW, I am not keen on the front grill; please give me some idea on the cost of that, I will surely give it a thought.

My next thought was to get a leather steering cover; with that I can live for some time.

Thanks for your suggestion on retaining AutoCop; it was wise.

I just confirmed that it is indeed the right side strip for old model. New DZire's side beeding is wider and has a new font letters "DZire" near the front side (as per the accessory expert and my observation).

About the wheel cap, I could have never noticed. I will not scratch my head on that for some time. I should be able to change to alloy wheels after some time.
