I am sure these are the best figures, with most probably 80 kmph in top gear kind of driving. In reality, we can expect 8-10 kmpl from all engine + gearbox configurations in Superb. And no doubt it will hit 6 kmpl mark (or even lower) very easily if driven with a hard foot. But, who cares for that 1 or 2 extra km (pl) with a car as superb as the Superb!
Even I get around 10-11 kmpl in city in my tiny Swift but the car makes me happy, which is more than enough.
Believe me, after driving my Swift (earlier had super fuel-efficient Altos and WagonRs in family), the 27 kmpl mileage claims of some new cars are a joke for me!
