I have played Max Payne 3. Yes Saishibu is right. its tough, you do get stuck at places. but you really need a lot of patience to finish the game, especially the last level.

I have an AMD Athlon X4 645, 4GB Ram and Radeon 5670 1GB graphics card and was able to pay at medium to high settings at 1440x900 resolution. I think all you need a Good dual core, 4gb ram and a mid range DX11 graphics card, for playing the game at medium to high settings.

im on my laptop. DELL XPS 15 . core i7, 6 gb ram and 2 gb nvidia . resolution and all graphics settings at full. this game is 30+gb!!

now stopped max payne 3 and playing dirt 4 show down.

The card developer(nvidia) and the memory(2GB) does not make much difference.

NO. 7300 GT is simply not fast enough to make use of that 1GB video memory. 7600GT and HD 2600 XT are much faster despite having only 256 MB of video memory. Like I told you above, the only way to judge performance of a graphic card is by looking at FPS numbers delivered by them in games. For this, you need to read reviews and research yourself.
(Note: The cards mentioned in this question are end-of-line and very old. Don't think these are good cards in 2011)

Fun fact about Laptop GPUs: If you are being happy because your Rs. 50,000 laptop has 1 GB or 2 GB video memory, no need to be happy about. AMD HD 6770M which is the fastest mobile graphic card in laptops costing around Rs. 50,000 in the Indian market, it performs around the level of HD 5670 (dekstop). It is hardly helped by video memory above 512 MB. What about Intel HD graphics? Intel GPUs suck as far as graphics are concerned. I hope you got your answer.

Will AMD HD 5670 1GB GDDR3 be faster than AMD HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5?
GDDR3 and GDDR5 are memory types. GDDR5 is faster than GDDR3. So, it is better to get AMD HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5. 5670 isn't fast enough to utlize 1GB memory anyways.

These days all high-end graphic cards use GDDR5. GDDR3 is mainly found in low end graphic cards. Many years ago, the low-end graphic cards used DDR2 memory.

True, The manufacturer and the amount of VRAM does not make much difference.

The main difference comes from the GPU specification, GPU clock, drivers and simply how optimized the game is for a particular GPU architecture (Geeky [:D])

Well Nvidia 540M is a pretty good entry-level GPU, but it still packs a good amount of punch to play recent games in.

I am looking to upgrade my card as well, Lots of new new games coming in.

Btw, Played Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Awesome game. Really good gameplay, good storyline and an allround entertaining Tactical Shooter. I recommend it to all Tactical-shooter fans.. A solid 8/10

Has anyone here played La Noire ?? [confused]
Got feedback that the game is very good. Those who like crime serials will surely enjoy it as we play detective collecting evidence & interrogating various persons & witnesses. Need to find whether they speak truth or not based on their facial expression. [clap]

Yes, thats correct. They have used something called MotionScan Facial Capture system for capturing the facial animation to a high level of detail. The game is good, or so I heard. Haven't played it yet.

Waiting for my copy of Warfighter to arrive. [evil]

Waiting for GTA 5 from long time, but looks like R* will again release it for consoles before for PCs. I feel PC gaming is real gaming, too bad developers ignore this. Just hope this port will be quicker and better than GTA IV's port... 3 players, planes, scooba-diving, jet-skiing, tennis, golf - Can't wait!! [:D]

Just finished Medal of honor Warfighter. Shipment arrived yesterday evening and in 24 hrs, I was able to finish it. But, What an awesome game !. Must play for all you casual Military Shooters. Be advised the game may not be that polished as one would expect but its well worth the 1499/- price tag.
