Its not a light scratch. You can feel it by running your finger over. However, I don't think its scratched down to the primer, especially since my car did have a sealer.

I tested the Com-paint pen this morning on an inconspicuous scratch on the rear bumper. First impression is that the paint is not a very close match but slightly darker than my glistening grey. But then I looked at it while leaving for office and it did seem to be a bit lighter then. The procedure given by the manufacturer is to wait of 72hrs after application, then rub it down with a provided sand paper. Actually, what seems to have come with the packing seems to be more claybar than sand paper (its a rubberised rectangle with one side like rough rubber with similar roughness to dry hobby clay). The procedure says to wet the thing and rub the area 10-12 times after masking the surrounding area with fibre tape. Then it says to dry and rub the provided com-cut rubbing compound gently and wipe it off with a cloth. So I will follow the procedure and see how it goes before I go to work on the door and stuff

It does work but with terms and conditions

If you apply the touchup with the pen itself, it leaves uneven paint and a wide patch. This is because the shape of the tip is rounded rather than flat like a marker. Also, the paint itself has suspended silver particles, so it applies darker than the base colour. So i found a zero size brush works better to apply the paint
Next you must let the paint cure for a day or two. On the bumper I applied and then sanded after two days but on the door I did so within a couple of hours, so I didnt get the same effect
Thirdly, once the paint has cured, you rub it with the provided clay bar. The painted patch then goes whiter than the surrounding colour. Most would stop at this point and throw away the product. But you must persist. Apply the provided rubbing compound over the surface. I had the Coido polishing machine, so I used that with the foam pad only. While applying, the pad must rotate parallel to the direction you applied paint. I used the tip of the pad to gauge the relative motion direction.
Thats it. The grazing on the bumper went away. Atleast to the point that you cant see the scratch unless you look at an angle. On the door etc, the scratches were deeper and I didnt give curing time, so I didnt have the same finish. However, the scratches are already lightened bit. I will apply another touchup and then do the needful after sufficient curing time and that should do the job. Just to remember not to go too hard with the rubbing compound or it will lighten paint in the surrounding areas. Also, my car will now need a wax application in these areas but I will do this later because (surprisingly) its drizzling now
