Its not a light scratch. You can feel it by running your finger over. However, I don't think its scratched down to the primer, especially since my car did have a sealer.
I tested the Com-paint pen this morning on an inconspicuous scratch on the rear bumper. First impression is that the paint is not a very close match but slightly darker than my glistening grey. But then I looked at it while leaving for office and it did seem to be a bit lighter then. The procedure given by the manufacturer is to wait of 72hrs after application, then rub it down with a provided sand paper. Actually, what seems to have come with the packing seems to be more claybar than sand paper (its a rubberised rectangle with one side like rough rubber with similar roughness to dry hobby clay). The procedure says to wet the thing and rub the area 10-12 times after masking the surrounding area with fibre tape. Then it says to dry and rub the provided com-cut rubbing compound gently and wipe it off with a cloth. So I will follow the procedure and see how it goes before I go to work on the door and stuff
