i heard,honda starting full production in mid dec-2011, let's see how it does, how much did you paid and what is final deal..?
Hi Guys, I booked Jazz select on Nov 5th by paying 50K as booking amount, the dealer explained the fact that official bookings are not accepted by Honda any more till further notice but, the dealer is still accepting bookings on first come first basis with them even though they are not presenting to Honda.
Any idea when Honda is going to process these bookings ? They have given a minimum waiting period of six months. It was at Peninsular Honda Trivandrum.

Nov. 5th eh... Have you got any info about your position in the waiting list? We booked on Aug 31st Alabaster silver X and still on waiting. I have read that Honda will accept bookings from March 2012 and that backlogs will be cleared by Feb or March end. Only 5 new jazz in Trivandrum so far . 1 UT X, 2 white select , 1 UT X or select , 1 alabaster silver select near my house. but when i looked its reg. no. , it was bought from some dealer at Kottayam, not from Trivandrum .
Any intimation from honda/dealer about your Jazz delivery date as they cut down production. Also while your booking whats the waiting period gave ? That means my booking will be considered by honda as if I book in March 2012 and delivery will be around May 2012.
When we booked, expected dates were Nov. end to Dec. middle . Our position was 13/14 . But, the representative(named Ajith) informed that ours will be delayed. He said, if we were ready for Select(any color) , he will try to get one soon. But, we dont like the chrome finishes and the beige interiors. X MT seemms totally VFM . Dad needs height adjuster as compulsory . So, we told him that we will wait . We are ready to wait till Jan end r til Feb middle ,bcos we will get 2012 model . But, waiting beyond that seems pretty frustrating to me. You dont have to waorry. Once the production comes back to normal by Feb, you may expect your car by April/May . Damn the floods !

Production returns to normal i.e. 1000/month only by Jan end/Feb .
Mine also Mr. Ajith only, he has given a tentative waiting period of 6 Months in the booking form. Today I called him, he told no change in the delivery month, I booked UT select, I told him if they have any other colour also, I will consider like that, swift petrol model waiting period also come down. All the other vehicles petrol models (micra, beat, fabia, polo, etios liva, Ritz, i20. i10) don't have any waiting periods. If the production comes back to normal, then we can wait peacefully.
But in the middle they released face lifted city. Also heard some news that they are not going to stop the bookings of Brio like they did for Jazz. Also heard from Jan onwards most of the vehicles are going to increase their price by 4% atleast not sure on what account, may be some excess tax/duty.

Don't worry about price hike. Honda wont be doing that hopefully. Today, i read that Thailand plant will return to normal soon and that production of jazz and brio will return to normal by Feb. there is some waiver given by thailand govt. to Honda for about 9 months, because of the drastic damage they faced. So, they will not have to increase the prices.

I think they stopped taking bookings for jazz fearing that they may loose customers. Almost everybody who books jazz, loves jazz so much ,instead of the fact that its petrol . Therefore, its better to stop taking bookings rather than telling them that their waiting is 6 months .

just call Ajith once in a month or so, so that he will give you the 1st lot of jazz that arrives after they start taking bookings.

How sure was the dealer that he can get you by March because I hear different stories across the country. Few people say the production of Honda cars esp. Jazz its gonna start in full swing only by end of Feb/March 2012.
Today I just happened to go Dakshin Honda on the way, Hosur Road and the sales representative told, Jazz bookings have been stopped and they are asking to go for Brio or New City corporate edition. They told, only 15 JAZZ cars they will get per month and they have already 150 bookings in queue (Waiting period of 8-10 months already). They told new Jazz bookings will be accepted by Honda only when they clear all backlog and that too will start around April 2012. If we book in April also, they are assuming again a long waiting period of 4-6 Months, And if they ramp up the production by some second shift, then the story may be different. Not sure, how Mr. Ajith (my sales rep) managed to convince everyone there.
@harinhs: I dont think so the info what you got is correct. If the dealer is getting 15 cars every month, it is good news for us in this situation. But the fact what I heard was hardly 4-5 cars/month is what they are delivering these days.
In fact today I got a call from the same dealer (where I booked mine on Aug 24th :(( ) saying that I'm standing 5th on the waiting list and my car is getting alloted only in Feb 2012, reason, no cars are delivered in this month and only one car in Jan 2012 and so mine in Feb.

Any news about Jazz production ? My dealer asked me to check with Honda Customer care asking them the expected delivery date. Dealers also desperately wants to deliver some units as its affecting their monthly revenue/profit/commission also. Because now almost all the honda vehicles going into huge waiting periods.....
