Motorola launches Moto G Fast, Moto E 2020 with Android 10

Moto G Fast gets a 6.4-inch HD+ 1560×720 pixels display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone packs the octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM. The phone offers 32GB of onboard storage which is expandable via microSD card. It comes loaded with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The G Fast gets modern design touches, punch hole front camera, and better equipped cameras.

Moto E (2020) gets a 6.2-inch HD+ 1520×720 pixels display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. It is packed with the octa-core Snapdragon 632 processor, paired with 2GB RAM. Moto E also offers 32GB storage which is further expandable.

It features a dual rear camera setup which includes a 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor. There’s a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front. Moto E gets a 3,550mAh battery with support for standard 5W charging and still comes with a microUSB port in 2020.

Oppo A12 with MediaTek Helio P35 chipset launched in India

The Oppo A12 comes with a curved body that the brand claims fit comfortably in one hand. The Oppo A12 is loaded with a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels along with 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio, 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display also features an Eye Protection screen. The Oppo A12 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor along with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.

The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on ColorOS 6.1. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a Face Unlock feature is also present. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS, dedicated microSD card slot, dual-SIM slot and micro USB port. The phone measures 155.9 x 75.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs 165 grams.

Vivo Z5x with Snapdragon 712 launched in China for 1,098 Yuan (~$155)

The Vivo Z5x is the company’s first smartphone to feature a punch-hole display. The 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The 2.3GHz Snapdragon 712 SoC of the Vivo Z5x is coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It comes in three options such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The 5,000mAh battery of the Vivo Z5x supports 18W fast charging.

The Vivo Z5x is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS along with FunTouch OS 9 UI. It has a rear-facing fingerprint reader. The triple camera setup of the Vivo Z5x features a main camera of 16-megapixel, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The other features that are packed inside the phone include microSD card slot, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, MicroUSB, 3.5mm audio jack, and face unlock. The smartphone ships. Its dimensions are 162.39 x 77.33 x 8.85mm and it weighs 204.1 grams.

Huawei P Smart S features a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 2440 x 1080 resolution, tall aspect ratio of 20:0 and waterdrop notch. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

Huawei P Smart S is powered by a Kirin 710F octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. To recall, Huawei Enjoy 10s was launched with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Motorola One Fusion+ launched in India at Rs 16,999; first Flipkart sale on June 24

The phone features a 6.5-inch Total Vision display with Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display, according to Motorola, has 25 percent larger color range and is also HDR10 certified. HTC's first 5G smartphone U20 5G introduced; HTC Desire Pro tags along

The HTC U20 5G comes with a couple of attractions such as the 5G support, a punch-hole display, cameras and more. The smartphone features a 6.81-inch Full HD+ punch-hole with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Samsung Galaxy A21s with quad-camera, 5000mAh battery launched

The Galaxy A21s features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-O display and 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with Exynos 850 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage. It runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out of the box. Samsung has launched the phone in three color options – black, white, and blue. These variants are priced at Rs 16,499 and Rs 18,499 respectively. The prices announced by the company are higher than what we had expected. The Korean consumer electronics giant has been losing market share in India to Chinese brands. And we were hoping the Galaxy A21s will cost below Rs 15,000.

The device will be available in two color options of Deep Blue and Flowing Silver.

Redmi 9 unveiled in China with MIUI 12, 6GB+128GB variant & dual-band WiFi

The Redmi 9 packs a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 394 PPI, 70% NTSC color gamut, and 400 nits brightness. The display holds a waterdrop notch and also features by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Redmi 9 China version will run on the latest MIUI 12 custom ROM based on Android 10. The global variant was released on Android Pie-based MIUI 11 but we expect a major update to be pushed to the model in the near future.

The Chinese edition of the Redmi 9 comes in just 4GB + 64GB and a superb 6GB + 128GB variant. For reference, the global version hits in just 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants. In addition, the phone comes with dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi whereas the global variant comes with single-band (2.4 GHz) WiFi.
