harsh shampoo will remove the wax layer. Car shampoo won't remove the wax layer.
And the shopkeeper will say to use only one brand but it doesnt matters. Waxpol has a product having shampoo with polish.
All the companies have good products, only thing that matters that they should not be fake and there are loads of copies in the market

What did you use to apply the polish i could not get it at the store so should locate it ? In the previous page i have mentioned i have used the quick wax,its a good fuss free product.

I see we both have similar cars of same colour,I suggest you go easy on the polish on the bumpers & apply a good layer of wax as the paint on them are stupendously thin!

Here I used a 3M Microfiber cleaning cloth to polish using Meguair.
Remember buying this cleaning cloth for my Santro sometime back, but for sure this cloth is available pretty much everywhere & online. Is the quick wax you use is of Meguair?

I use a 3M ultimate dresser for interiors, but as per directions in the bottle it looks like it's safe on paint as well. 250ml-INR 160. I bought this from a care care shop nearby.

I got MGA teflon coating at cost of 4000 which has 3 years of warranty and 2nd coat after one year.

So kindly suggest following:
1: Can I use car shampoo now as Teflon was applied on 1st Jan 2013?

2: Can I use wax after washing the car? If yes, which is the best and affordable brand. I use to like wax once in a week as washing is done weekly.

3: Can we apply wax just after dusting using Jopasu duster?

4: Do we have any product to take care of fabric seat- it's Elegant Europa

5: What is claying?

1. Shampoo wash can be done now.
washing can be done after 10 to 15 days of Teflon coating.

2. Car can be waxed after a wash but only after it is completely dry (on a shade since surface should not be hot). Be careful about dust over the panels during this short intervel for drying. Remove that dust also with a clean duster or a clean soft cotton cloth.
Formula 1 Carnauba wax is affordable and effective. (Make sure you get original).
Meguiar, Turtle etc are other good brands.
Waxing is not required every week. Once in three months is enough to keep the car shining. (if required, increase the frequency to monthly once in monsoon season)

3. Better not to apply wax after just a dusting.
Washing with a good shampoo is required.

4. There are several products available at car interior shops.
Can opt for a 3M detailing once in a year.

5. Claying remove hard stains, dirt, tar and other contaminants and is better done by a car care firm than doing at home.

Liquid wax will naturally be easy to apply.

Applying paste wax and wiping off and polishing to a shine is a real difficult process but I got excellent results.

My car was polished with Formula 1 carnauba wax (paste type) nine months ago and its shining even now after several shampoo washs, harsh monsoons and parking in the open under hot sun.
(You can see that in the pictures of my car in this travelogue http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...eri-chitradurga-mysore-kerala.html#post165388. Pictures in the first page are taken after driving 2500 km during that trip)

Not used liquid wax yet but would like to try it because it is easy to apply.

Thanks for the link.

So I can apply paste wax myself using micro fiber jopasu cloth once in a month only after shampoo wash.

My only concern is that is there any affect on the existing teflon coating which was applied.

Need not wax for next 3 to 4 months.

After that if you feel that effect of coating is diminished, then go for a waxing. Infact waxing and Teflon coating are almost similar.

Do a water beeding test - pour water on the panels and if it forms a beed like shape (like how water forms a beed shape in colocasia leaves) thgen the effect of coating is still there.

i don't think they are similar. i wax my car like you said once in 3-4 months but there are still some unusual scratches on my car everywhere. on first service when i visited the service center , my adviser told me that if you have applied teflon when you got the car ,these scratches wouldn't be here [confused]

They are similar but not exactly same.

Teflon coating consists of 2 or 3 layers and applied at various thicknesses depending upon pricing and needs.

Waxing is a single thin layer of coating.

Teflon coating may prevent minor scratches also (initially) along with providing a gloss shining, water repelling and paint protection against environmental effects

Waxing provide only shining, water repelling and some protection against environmental effects.

Teflon coating too has only temporary effect.
