No , they work when you switch on the rear wipers only.

For all those who dont have this facility , simple , find the reverse gear solenoid switch in gear box and connect to reverse wiper lines and positive line to front wiper pos

Else connect the rear wiper motor lines to reverse light[lol] , this one makes wiper to wipe everytime you reverse.
The second option may not be so good ... you may end up (on most occasions actually) wiping the back door glass when not raining, and a dry wiper on glass is a good way to reduce the life and wiping efficiency of the wiper.
Will then need to connect to the rear washer too at the same time!!

Great Ilango. Hope all auto companies apply your idea. Of-course, they will pay you.:lol!:
No , this is not exact method, you need to place exact solenoid to prevent failure.

so the condition must be like this,

if reverse lights are on , check condition of front wipers. , so take the positive of the fr wiper and connect to this switch which is connected to rear wiper. In this method , It works as in punto. But the question is how to design the switch.
I got this idea , design a circuit board of own , this will surely help , but its a DIY , not proper and perfect like in punto.[thumbsup]

Forgot to mention this.
If I put the key in the door lock, twist and hold for 3 seconds, all the windows close automatically (if locking) or open (if unlocking). The closing holds valid for the sunroof too.

cool feature in fabia .

And a small note for diy lovers.
The rear wiper on when reverse + front wipers work using a ic( basically or-gate )

So simple , get a or gate ic , (i dont know ic number something starting with 68 like that)
connect the reverse gear solenoid and front wiper positive to this input and output to rear wiper pos. Give appropriate power supply accordingly (sorry i studied ece 2 years back haha)

Ilango, u sure an OR gate will do the job??
I think we need an AND gate. when both the inputs are on, then only output is given.
The inputs are namely reverse soleniod and wiper switch. The output is amplified and fed into a relay connected to the rear wiper.
Ic 7408 will do the job. Its an 2 input AND gate. Maybe u guys shuld try it once.

This is a small yet significant feature in Fabia. Similarly I heard that Verna’s driver side windows doesn't roll up for sometime / or after removing key if your hand is placed between! I’m not exactly sure how it works but perhaps couple of verna owners in our board can confirm this.

Hmmm no i checked it right away only to get my hands stuck in between![cry] Its present in the top-end model maybe. But i don think so. The SE in KUN Hyundai never explained any features of this type. Even Surendar has only the base model.

Never expect any such kind of features from Verna except for a powerful engine and good FE. Else i would have contributed mine also.

I remember reading about such feature in Autocar India when verna was released. I'll check and let you know about it.

If you are talking about the anti-pinch feature, it is there in all Skodas, I think.
