Had moved around in a Scorpio on Sunday ... and after a few times, the voice telling you to belt up was a bit irritating!!

I really liked that feature which Raj has told about Scorpio, But surely it can be quite irritating after sometime. Mahindra should have provided a facility to switch it off too!

Drive Safe,
350Z
Even better, a choice to disable/enable individual options because we might want to keep a few of them like low fuel warning.
Might be too much an ask but not impossible.

Solution - Listen to it and belt up. [:D].

On a more serious note, it is better that you belt up even for short trips. Safety should always come first.

Even the marina , indica ....lancer has this feature. I think every car has this feature!
Ilango, I am sorry but which particular feature are you referring here?

After some time, the last can be a bit irritating, me thinks!!
No buddy i never got irritated with this feature.
I love my Scorpio.
If you dont like you can disable this feature.
You can find in other cars the seat belt light glows continuously .
This distracts me.
Where as in voice assist it tells only once.
Unless you switch of your engine.

Noted.
Was a borrowed Scorpio, so did not want to fool around!!
I normally start the car, and then put on my seat belt. This is especially useful if you are planning to reverse or anything like that.
And I put on the belts as soon as is normally possible.
But I still had to hear the message every time!!:frown:

Surprisingly most of the scorpio owners find the VAS very useful & all non scorpio owners find it very irritating.

Please note that the VAS can be switched off with a touch of a button.

As jammy wanted, either all commands can be switched off or only selected commands can be switched off as per our wish.

@Raj, Thanks for pointing out that my wish has already been granted. [:)] and that too in bold.[:D]

No, on the serious note, VAS is definitely a helpful feature and having the control of selectively disabling certain messages is just awesome.
I, for a change, being a non-scorpio guy still like the feature.

@ jammy: i wrote it in bold this time because previously, many times i have written this in various places & it has went unnoticed & people again comment about how irritating it is!

also, i have sat in numerous scorpios till now (not counting my own). not a single owner/driver has turned off the VAS including the welcome speech! so i dont really understand how a subtle male voice can be irritating. maybe its irritating to some since the guy is pointing out your own mistakes!!!

Today only noticed that a lamp is fitted inside the bonnet too in my Safari. Can be very useful if the cars breaks down in the highway or other dark places.

BTW anyother cheaper car than Safari has it? Then it cannot be called a special feature![embarass]
