Vipin, do check out Travancore Wheel Club for any future tyre upgrades or for wheel alignment/balancing. I changed my stock Ritz tyres to Michelins from this shop. Its a small outlet but they stock Michelin, Pirelli, Apollo, Goodyear and CEAT. On a need basis they can get you Bridgestone as well. Again back to the point on good deals, yes they will not give you very good deals but the owner is very welcoming and the service is very good. He ensures that you come back to him next time. [cheers]

Thanks mate. BTW, any idea where we can get good alloys for the Polo? With the 100 PCD 5 nut combo, it's hard to come by good designs.

Sorry mate, absolutely no idea on this. But i can do a search and update you. How urgent is this?
No urgency bro. I checked out a couple of places including New Bharath. No good designs. Looking at something from Lenso or so. If you come across any place, do let me know. No need to go out of your way for that. [:)]

Had gone to Ashoka wheels tyre dealer for quotation of new tyres. Here are the prices of tyres.

Michelin Primacy 3ST-Rs.5950
Yokohama C-Drives-Rs.4950
Yokohama AVS DB550-Rs.5075
Bridgestone Turanza ER60-Rs.5100
Michelin Energy XM2-Rs.5750

All are 195/60R15 size.

Now for 205/55R15 size,

Yokohama S-Drives-Rs.5900 after some discount
Hankook Ventus V8 RS-Rs.5800

He suggested me to go for 195/60 over 205/55 if we drive on bad roads.Im still in dilemma whether we should go for 195/60 or 205/55.

It's been long since the thread started. ER 60 are discontinued IMO. So check the manufacture date and availability if a single tyre needs replacement.

BS has recently launched AR 20(195 /60 /r 15), recently fellow TAI ger gypsy has bought them for his manza.

But,he didn't say about AR20.He showed me the tyres which I'm considering.Im considering Michelin Primacy 3ST,Yokohama C-Drives in 195/60 and Yokohama S-Drives and Hankook Ventus V8 RS in 205/55.Heart says 205/55 and head says 195/60.But,dealer is pushing me to go for 195/60R15 over 205/55R15.

205 vs 195 decision doesn't depend on heart, it depends on rim width. Find out the rim width from owner manual and then take the call.

Wider tyre leads to reduction in FE though marginal.Ask your dad if he is ready for that. Also wider tyres are recommended only if the passenger or driver feels that present ride quality(especially body roll) is not satisfactory. Ask your dad.

Also find out if there is a tyre upgrade chart given in owner manual. I expect it from vw.
