Upgrading to a Premium Hatchback - Please Help

I think if your average ride is 600 kms, the premium you paid for diesel will only be retrieved if your running kms is atleast 1000. But with the new price hike i think 600kms will will slightly slant towards diesel. But Jazz is FE. So no worries. Inn fuel station i always envy diesel cars

Money i shed for petrol : (2300./ 15 )*70 = 10,734;

If it will be diesel : (2300./ 18 )*45 = 5750;

Look from 3 months itself the difference is 5000 INR.

Consider you paid 1 lakh extra for the diesel car. you'd pay around 2200 per month as EMI. 2200 * 3 = 6600.
6600-5000 = in your pocket.

hmm....when EMI comes to picture but don't you get Punto Dynamic 1.3 or Figo Diesel or Ritz within the price of 7 lakhs

This question swirls me up.
Ritz and Figo is not even a part of my choice. Comfort, Appearance, quality is important.
Well, punto is a tough question.
1. When you resell, you'd get a lower price.
2. Interior fit and finish: questionable.
3. Doesn't have AUX, USB and they said you cannot add it either.
4. Thats all I have. ABS in dynamic is an added advantage.
Cost of Jazz Select: 6.4. Punto Dynamic: 6.9.
What do you say?

abs with incredible ride quality and handelling with superb steering,one will never regret driving punto. Usb and aux is not at all big deal in present world (damn those sillz SE's)those can be added with fm transmitter type even by a kg kid.

Hi folks, what about Etios Liva Diesel GD ? heard toyota refreshed the interiors, only diesel variant that comes with ABS +EBD as standard, only NVH levels can be an issue there ? anything else ? pricing is almost same as Ritz VDI ABS, Ford Figo Titanium, Vista Quadrajet top end, all come more or less same price as that of Jazz select. Considering ABS +EBD and EPS which one will be good to go (Figo and Vista will have Hydraulic Power steering) ? finally Ritz VDI and LIVA Gd will come as that of jazz select in price ?

Had a bad experience today. The dealer who had ensured that i can get the silver one, he had given it to a person who gave the full amount. Although, he had booked before me, the dealer had made a deal with me before him. I totally got pissed off. He accepted his mistake, but he said he had no choice.
He said, now select would come only after 2 months. Either i have to wait 2 months, or he can arrange the red one for me.
I was looking for UT, then went onto silver, now I don't want to go to red. I guess I should wait....

no bro.Etios & Liva are something, which i believe , doesnt feel like an upgrade. Although the petrol motr in etios is very torquey, the interior just dont do justice. Feels as though like a car built to a price. Doesnt feel like a premium hatch. Are you looking for diesel now ?

Oh this is bad news. Really sad at ths last moment. The SA is really dumb. If he booked it for you, why cant he tell the other guy so ? Btw, you have red and white left.On the positive front, Since you like the red a lot, now its a chance to convince your Dad to opt for red. and why is it that he is saying next lot will come after 2 months. As i believe, next lot wil coe by end of this month. The lot which you have seen s produced in February last week and dispatched. The jazz's manufactured in 1st and 2nd week of this month will come by this month end. Atleast i think so. .. Ask him about this..

No idea regarding this. Those who have booked from other states , said on facebook Honda page that their dealers told that X production will return to full swing by April . Cosmic Honda is saying the reverse. And peninsular Honda says they have no idea about this. So, waiting can be crucial. I mean, or else , ypu be ready to take X/ select. Then, you can get X next month. Red seems okay. If your parents are ready, go for it. As i said, it is crucial. If you are ready to wait, wait for your favourite color. Its upto you.

It's a long time by today's standards and i think by that time any diesel car will fetch you more money than petrol if price of petrol is going like this. It may be the era of hybrids. sure the technology is fast changing. you can check the resale value of swift zxi and vdi in second hand market.So petrol cars will any way gives you less resale value.

About punto you just go and check if its ok for you. Its all depends on individual taste and what you look for in cars. As i used to maruti's, Punto interiors is ok for me. But i love the comfort and handling
I still think ritz zdi is vfm, if you are ok with the appearence

Nitin, no zdi for current ritz. Maybe the facelifted one will have zdi variant. I agree with your point on resale value. I heard that fit and finish have improved in 2012 models. Will checkout next week. :)

WHAT? Ritz ZDI? No buddy, You are mistaken. Theres no ZDI in ritz. The diesel models are - Ldi, Vdi and Vdi ABS.

Will the new ritz have ZDI Also?

Sorry my friends. I mean ritz vdi. Always i love diesel cars for their efficiency and torque. For long drives no matching for diesel. Plans for a long drive from Trivandrum to Ooty(via Pollachi) in figo TDCI
