Re: Toyota Etios Liva Hatchback Starting Price Rs.3.99 Lakhs

Yes there are door beading. However not sure of '118 changes' though. Also good to see head restraints, good NVH and driver side seat height adjust. Waiting to see the proper odometer than the sticker one. The launch is 9th or 10th March. Dealers have started accepting bookings as well.
Good to see Toyota acting on some of the pressing needs in the Etios liva. Better NVH, door rubber beadings, better dashboard were some of the 'Must haves' that Toyota had initially missed giving us at the price it was selling the Livas.

I am not aware of the ex showroom price of Ethios, Is it direct competitor with I20/swift? Then Toyota need to do much more.. Customer has a choice of great handler (swift) or a nice gadget fill hatch(I20), There is not much of USP for this car in this range.. (except for T badge maybe)

Etios and Etios Liva - Facelift March 2013 Launched !

Hi All,

The facelifted versions of Etios and Etios liva got launched today. I went to one of the showrooms of Ravindu toyota here in bangalore to check out the new changes and guess what.. Some of the changes are stunning. What really stands out is the new color introduced - Grey. Both the Etios and liva look stunning in this color. Check out more in the picture i will be posting.

Major changes

- New Color Grey, blue color is discontinued
- new sleek design ORVM with turn indicators (V and VD variants)
- new improved seats (thicker and more comfortable)
- height adjustable front seats
- adjustable headrest for all seats (front and rear)
- improved interior plastic quality
- improved and premium interior fit and finish (very visible)
- better built quality exterior metal (compared to current version)
- Improved NVH levels
- rubber coating in the engine boot to avoid road noise to seep in
- improved suspension
- great looking audio with DVD, bluetooth etc (G and V)
- new dual tone color interiors (beige and brown)

Following above are some of the changes i noticed during my 20 min stay in the showroom. The price increase is expected in the range of 20-25k, but still not confirmed.

My First impression - Far better than the current version and gives the much needed oomps factor to the interiors. But yes, people who are looking for changes to the center console will be dissapointed. I personally don't have any issues with the center console as i currently own a 4 month Liva GSP with it. :)

Now some pictures -

The ORVM has changed in the design. It looks more sleek now wherein the length is almost the same but i guess the height is a bit lesser than the current one. But the ORVMs now look very trendy and cool even without the turn indicators. The turn indicators are available only in the V and VD variants.

The price increase in the range of 25-30k i guess depending on the city you live in. The Grey color is stunning to say the least. I just wonder had I waited for 4 months to purchase the Liva

@Raja -- you took the picture in cricket ground?? take a bow sir [:)]
its looks good now, though a auto ac would have been nice..
On a personal note (with no disrespect to owner/lover) I would still consider it on Figo level , not on I20,swift, Polo level

Good changes :

Hydraulic mounts for engine
Sound dampeners in bonnet
Better looking audio system.
Clean Air filter
Stronger bumpers
Adjustable driver seat

What should have been given?
Rubber beadings on doors.

The interior changes are cosmetic - I see the same material, but in a different colour!

I would be interested to see if I can get the Hydraulic mounts and Sound dampeners fitted in the older model to reduce NVH.

Even i enquired about it in the Toyota showroom. One salesman told me that sound dampners can be installed during service by asking about it. Don't know whether its possible, but i will surely ask for it. Hydraulic mounts is another thing am interested in.

Though the new music system looks stylish and cool, am very happy with my touchscreen video JVC unit i installed for my liva. It looks cooler [:)]
