reached Amritsar at 2.15 pm. ( 3.06.2013 ) wow it was a really congested. felt that kerala was the most congested and people had no traffic sense. changed my opinion. there is no traffic rules . when the light was red at a junction i stopped the car for the light to turn green while all others were jumping the signal and people behind me were honking impatiently for me to move on. As the old saying goes - when in Rome do as the Romans do.i too became part of the mad Amritsari traffic

. i jumped signals, parked where i felt . you have to be on the look out for the burly punjab police in whose presence there was some order on the road. one of whom noticed our kerala registration. he was perplexed initialy, scratched the back of his turbaned head and enquired from where we were coming ? on saying kerala he waved us along after enquiring - " paper sub teek hai ?
we took 2 rooms at hotel anand near the bus stand. the manager hustled us to go to waga border for the evening ceremony. we were hungry. but he told us to hurry or else we would miss it as it was 35kms away and there would be rush. we postponed lunch as waga border was on thing we didn't want to miss.
on the way about 2 kms before waga was the last railway station in india. we went to see it. it was deserted.
