So after almost 9 months, you could get the relief. Good to know that the insurance company did not further delay the process.

BTW which car did you purchase as a replacement of your Scorpio?
It is good your claim finally got settled and police gave the certificate. Yes it usually takes almost than a year to get it.

Same question from me, what is the replacement vehicle ?
Err guys he has owned a XUV 5OO W8, hope you guys would have commented in his ownership report.[;)]

Thank you @appus - I did buy a XUV 5OO after a month on company lease.

@figoian - Banaswadi is lot better mate, at least the police are nice (though they could be more efficient). I believe the car theft could take place anywhere in the world. It depends on the car itself and the owner [;)]

The insurance company is paying me almost the insured amount - deducted just 1000 rupees! Getting 3.94 instead of 3.95.

Btw, you guys might want to check out my other article - just updated with lots of photo.

This ordeal is coming to end, at last. But my memories with my beloved Scorpio remains.
Good to know that the ordeal has come to an end[clap]....As said, forget about the bad experience, learn from our mistakes, make sure you have enough security in your new car..

Also please utilize your basement parking..[;)]

Bumping back, as one question cropped up in my mind. Did you claim back your Road Tax for the stolen vehicle from the RTO?

@anshuman8: nope. I did not even know I can claim back. Can I?

The insurance company has paid the money, and took signature on some RTO related papers (stating, if the vehicle is found, the insurance company will own it). Hence I am not sure if I can claim anything from RTO.
