Thanks Naveen Verma. I am also thinking that I should stick with Honda Assure for peace of mind. I will compare the rates from Honda dealers.

Congrats on the Brio! Man, you need to post some pictures of the lovely little machine.
Thanks. I posted some pictures on the first page of this thread but they are not showing now. Will post another set soon.

Got the fourth service done. Car has so far moved only 4600 kms in one and a half years i.e. about 250 kms per month. Most of this 4600 kms are trips outside Delhi. Have decided that henceforth I will get the service done once a year rather than once every 6 months. There is no need to change oil every 1500 kms which I cover in around 6 months.

Car is doing good. No issues.

You have merged my two posts which were separated by around 9 months time[surprise]. My comments regarding the fourth service was posted in June 2015. I think you should have merged post at sl. no. 31 and 32, rather than 32 with this one describing the fourth service.

Hi NH8,

If you're not sticking with the service schedule then Honda may not entertain the warranty claims on the vehicle. We need to stick with the regular service routine to get warranty claim.

Anyway did you want for extended warranty of additional 2 year?

Thanks,
Naveen

Normal warranty will end in December 2015. If I go for extended warranty, I will have to get the car serviced in every 6 months. Considering very low usages, I am not in a mood to opt for extended warranty and therefore, six monthly service is not required.

BTW, can any body tell what is the service interval for other cars in this class like Swift, Grand i 10, i 20, Figo etc. (petrol version)?

I read it and posted it on a Brio India forum on FB too.
By ironically AC of my brio is getting trip from a day or two.
I have scheduled an appointment with the honda service adviser for tomorrow.
Let's hope its nothing big... & if it is I hope my extended service warranty can be of some use now.
I remember of paying 4.9K If I remember it correctly.

Call Honda 121 and get confirmation on your extended warranty. I just did to verify as i didnt received any acknowledgement at the time of purchase.

What is the quote given by Dealer for Extended Warranty?

Between, read this, could give you more confidence about your prized possession, and maybe increase the usage as well. [:)]

Mr. Dependable - Honda Brio
Dealer is yet to give any quote for extended warranty. I think they will contact me when my present warranty will be nearing its expiry i.e. December 2015. Regarding my confidence about the car, I am just loving it, absolute confidence about Honda's reliability.[clap] That's why I am not so keen about the extended warranty. Moreover, having extended warranty means you are required to get the car serviced in every 6 months but my use is less, around 3000 kms per year.

My use is low mostly because I go to my office on my motorcycle or on my legs. For other trips in the city, I prefer to use public transport. It is for trips outside Delhi that I enjoy this fantastic car on open highways.

Servicing at ASS have many pros -

1. They use equipments of correct specs mostly( Each work needs designated tools and departments which won't be available at local garage)
2.No warranty issues

But simple jobs like oil level checks and top ups can be done at local garages.
I insist you to try the following method give car to local reliable garage for normal jobs and 6 months once give at ASS- Specially mention that the oil level is normal and the car hasn't run much, this will save you from bills.

Extended warranty helps from unwanted bills due to parts damage.

My Brio has now crossed 5500 kms, thanks to two trips of around 320 kms each on NH-08 towards Jaipur. Just 5500 kms in 20 months[surprise]. Car is running good so far. Minor issue is slightly less effective AC cooling but Service Centre people say that this is normal. Most of my usage is outside city, around 80-90 per cent. And on these highway trips, it is just an amazing, fun to drive car.

The mileage is around 14 for city and 18-19 for highway.

A couple of shots from recent trip on NH-08.

Once you are out of Delhi-Gurgaon-Manesar area and its crowd, you get this kind of road and traffic:

One of my rear tyres (tubeless) got punctured. There are two punctures as shown below in yellow markings:

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...io-problems-solutions-img_20150904_065744.jpg
The puncture in the sidewall is just 1-2 mm. The puncture shop advised to put a tube in the tyre and said that the puncture in the sidewall can not be repaired. Tyre has run just around 5800 kms and is of JK Vectra 175/65 make. My query is-
(i) Whether I should do as he suggests or
(ii) Buy a new tyre or
(iii) is there any method the sidewall puncture can be repaired. If yes, any suggestions in Delhi. (preferably near CP)
