Ilango was telling that gap is kept to keep headlamp to be safe when vehicle goes in any humps..though i was not sure..

i dont agree dude! why will be damage to headlamps on bumps? dont other cars have bumpers below headlamps

Some extra fittings like Rear-view Camera, Rear seat blower , LED lights are going on.

Fitting of New tires with Alloys, Alignment etc are also pending for which I need to go.
After that washing and polishing work is there.

So may be will upload few photos this weekend! Probably may be final photos.

Its all in the hands of Ilango !

last moment Ilango is telling Power Window Motors are not working :(

Asked him to send them to Bangalore - Will take to JC road tomorrow.

One guy said he will service it..lets see..

Anybody any thoughts? Any mechanic u know who can service Old power window motors?

It was about the gap between bumper and body. to absorb some impact and save body.

regular mm of panel gap between the bumper and body.


About the head lamp.
this one is xenon's.

The bottom line will not be straight in xenon , where as here its made straight , like oe lamp of sierra.

also , below the visible bottom of head lamp , the thing is curved downward , like this / .

so on close view , there is no gap below the head lamp.
this so called gap continues in grill too. also the inclined picture add to the effect.

Are you going to have a rubber beeding b/w the gaps or leave it just like that? Won't the rubber beeding absorb the impact if any? If you are planning to leave it like that, i am not sure how will it look from the straight view (A inclined picture will tell it to us).

Car looks coooool,nice work.. I think the car should be washed as the tires are giving bad look..though the body is clean

look carefully ilango has already installed better tire .

Somehow I don't like final end product. As a unitary whole car is not looking good. The squarish front head lights and rounded safari tail lights are not going well together.
The C-Piller should have been more prominent to give the car that quitessential SUV look.
The mesh grill on front bumper is looking like an after thought.
These are just few observation on my part, I am pretty sure that you will take these in right spirit.

Saw the pictures in FB too , Looking good but as Spandy said it would have looked better with a thicker C-pillar.


maybe after putting sun-films on the rear windows and cleaning and polishing the rear tyres also the car will give a complete look.
