^^ Running board kit was stuck with 3M tape at door sills. Front secured with wheel liner clips and to running board weld joint with provided metal clips.
Grave QC error from Ford's side, on rear kit.
First, wrong side marking.
Wrong mount. There were 3 mounts. Edge ones were supposed to be flush with the kit and middle one was to bulge out. All 3 mounts were bulging, making fit impossible.
Cut, sanded and bathed is superglue. Strong flat mount.
Bought a pair of horn. Minda Harmony for a change. Install went side by side with kit install. Bulkier than regular Bosch/Roots Windtones. Sound is premium bassy, but harsh. MRP ₹ 620.00 plus ₹ 50.00 for L clamps.
Custom clamp (2 L clamps combined) & OE clamp for symmetry.
Second OE horn location, under LH headlamp.
First tried removing the bumper for clean kit and horn install, but number of bolts and their weird location, made me think twice. Ended up removing headlights, which made is so much easy.
Kit bolted. Front ones need either underbody protector removed or headlight removed for install. Rear is easily accessible under without removing anything. Bought a tonne of 10 mm flange bolt and extra washer.
Cross member attachment, reminds me of a locomotive. Never seen such a rigid fitting.
Horn location.
Not symmetric as expected. Will change the OE clamp with twin L-clamp combo ASAP. Removing the bolt behind number plate loosens up bumper a bit, leaving enough room to work around, its a torx bolt.
Googly. Horn connector turns out to be mini clips.
OE horns were FIAMM make. 9A each/pair, making things lot easy. Minda was 10A/pair.
Custom converter, mini to normal Bosch clips. Glue gun helped secure it to connector and prevent moisture.
