70k Service - I was late this service, already crossed 75k when i got the chance to do the service, it was a minor one, just oil and filters. I torqued up suspension and also cleaned ac and air filter.
So at nearly 76k now(and over 5.4 years), battery is stock, brake pads is stock (shockingly didn't have to change as it can easily last further) , tyres are stock.
Forgot to carry grease gun so will do that myself next week.

My first agenda is to have tyres changed - been scouting for options not in a hurry. Some pics below :-

Also got a chance to drive this beauty - its a peach compared to the prev gen outlander(which was already smooth) - the gearbox and shifts especially were silk - one of the best driven recently - though pricing is atrocious and i dont think they will even sell beyond single digit. Paddle shifts were very impressive and so was the steering balance.

A long pending item was to clean the leather interiors - didn't feel lazy enough to give it to the 3m guys, so this weekend took it on myself and did a cheap DIY job for a few hours.
I didn't do much research on products but picked up dazlo and went with it - its pretty decent

Here is the outcome - the seats look back to what they were when it was driven out of showroom!

so in the 6th year the original amaron battery finally succumbed - so it got replaced by another amaron - so for the first time ever the mitsu didnt crank in one go(for the records)!
Excellent battery life i think

Closing to 80k, nothing much to report except that Pune again lost its Mitsu dealership (i have seen 3 already in 5+ years) - i know who is going to pick this business potentially, but will await till official confirmation.
Service like this is part of Mitsu life now.

Btw i had missed(dunno how this slipped) replacing AC belt at 60K - Mitsu recommends AC belt change every 30k - mine was starting to squeak and that gave me a good reminder, while i could have just tensioned it, i preferred to replace as it had done nearly 50k already.

Crossed 80k - been a patient 80k with the Apollos, suprisingly they lasted very well, still had enough tread for another 20k but the tyres are too old hard and brittle now - i didnt want to stretch my luck enough! They were always ok on highways but very poor off the road.
So went for a upgrade - 275/65/17 this time Maxxis Bravo AT771 - thats a minor 1.6% upsize giving a moderate theoretical rise in GC of 6.5mm - bought 5 tyres

80k service is due now , am already at 83+k , last service was slightly delayed, so delaying this one too by a little bit.
6+ years old now - i need to do a maintenance coat to preserve the sheen - another hard labour task for a weekend.

The PS is due for the 80K service (currently at 84k) - replaced the coolant after a thorough flush, unlike the monty, access to engine block coolant valve(if at all it exists) was hard - so innovated here by opening the radiator inlet and flushed it out entirely with flush first(liquimoly)and then distilled water and finally with some excess good coolant too continuously as the valve keep opening and shutting. End result is still the same (at least so far :))

Next is a full 80k service all fluids change!

The itch to buy a solid SUV always existed it was the Fortuner though that i was in awe of approx 4 years back, since the waiting was high and i couldnt wait i had bought a used civic then with an intention of booking a Fortuner parallely.

By astc do you mean mitsubishi active stability and traction control ?

great ownership review. I have a pajero sport 2013, picked up a used one and been 6months. Got 70k service but got all the fluids replaced a service earlier since I have trust issues . I have clearly missed EGR, Throttle body and Radiator cleaning. But thanks to your review , I will get it done at 80k service. Please don’t stop sharing your experience since I get to learn alot from it.

will certainly do sir - have been lazy in covid times - btw the PS has crossed 97k now and chugging along same as day 1 - no issues whatsoever not even a whimper !
its that boringly reliable that it hardly gives you stories of what you are doing with it!

Timing belt full kit was changed at 90k kms - so its good for another lak kms or 5 years or so !
