hi deville 56 i also have a kinetic honda zx 1998 model stock condition it was previously running on spaco phbc18 carb
if you dont find choke cable if
you want autochoke
go to the scrap yard and get a kei hin i recently buyed a carb i cleaned it and it started right away
Already got a brand-new carb and trying to sort its issues, so no point in getting a used carb. Plus used carbs are kind of hit or miss, pure luck. If the donor was sitting idle for ages before scrapping, it would be totally useless by now. Gotta sort out the choke issue and get it running.

(Sorted by the time of posting, will be updating, most of my stories are predated [angel]).

November 2020 - Light at the End of the Tunnel

Searched my parts bin and found the auto choke for Spaco from the old scrapped scooter. Connected to battery and it was working fine. It looks like Kinetic's jugaad of automating a manual choke. It was mounted on chassis and connected to carb via a cable.

Choke valve parts.

Cable fits fine.

Stock wiring was short in length and wouldn't reach the new location since it was designed for stock Keihin, which sat on the carb. Hung the auto choke temporarily. Kiney started in single kick. Adjusted the auto-choke cable. All is well.

(Actually there was no need for a choke, but choke valve need to be set a bit above full closed position for working).

Now the big headache being finding the parts I removed from Kiney aka body panels and all the nuts and bolts and misc parts. All stored properly, but places changed by mom every time she rearranges or clean home.

November 2020 - Work in Progress

Cut open the sleeve to extend the wires to the auto choke. The Zoom auto choke is mounted on the battery box bolt.

Gotta find side panels, platform and mat. Making list of other things to buy. Air filter was new at time of parking, but started disintegrating due to age. NGK G-Power was also new, which is misplaced, now some Bosch plug. Throttle cable also needs replacement. Have to get a choke cable if available.
