Re: The Candid Cam: For Law All Breakers in India

i just saw this thread and 350z some of the pics you posted on the very first post seems like they were taken while the vehicle was moving , can't say if it was taken by the passenger or the driver.

but just a heads up , if anyone of you take pics while the car is moving , you yourself are breaking the law [:)] and putting yourself and others at risk.

i used to take some pics while i was driving and saved myself from some accidents. so please just avoid clicking pics while the vehicle is moving , better to click at a red light. just make sure no traffic wala is around you [thumbsup]

I wouldn't call them Mr. Gentlemen. They are not wearing helmets. So they are also breaking the law.

You hardly see any one wearing helmet once you cross Hosur (Tamilnadu boarder). Is not that compulsory in TN? I am sure it is not strict as any other place.

Thats true. On all my drives to and through TN, I have hardly seen anyone wearing helmet. Once while i was coming back from Coimbatore to bangalore via Salem, a couple of bikes drove in front of me at 100+ for nearly 50 kms, and none of the riders were wearing a helmet. Looking at the skinny tires doing such high speed was scary. It was morning time on a weekday and hence highway was empty and that prevented a lot of damage or miscalculations

What you guys seen is true.

In TN, wearing helmet is compulsory. but, it is strictly followed in Major cities only like Chennai, Madurai, ThiruNelvely and Trichy.

Apart from that all the cities and town people enjoying there ride without Helmet.

Even in Vellore, some 6 months back, Collector of Vellore strict on the rule, so that everyone started wearing Helmet. Later the people slowly forget the law and enjoying the ride without Helmet as usual (Including me[;)]).

It is true. Last week, I covered 1000+ kms in TN and I did not see a SINGLE person wearing a helmet. I was shocked!!!! Many of the riders here do wear helmets. The un-educated ones strap the helmet to the bike. Maybe someone should tell them the helmets are to protect their heads and not their bikes.

Idiot Biker Making a Kid Ride Motorcycle!!

Friends,

I am keeping this topic as separate thread simply because this kind of happening definitely deserves to be discussed at length. I saw this Idiot at Akshardham Flyover in Delhi today morning. To my utter shock, and that of many other drivers, this man made the kid(7-8 year old) handle and control the bike and he just sat behind him. The kid was controlling the accelerator and the handle-bar and was doing about 60-70 km/h. As can be seen in the picture below, the kid's legs are on the leg-guard and the adult is just controlling the gear from his feet as kid's legs don't reach to the gear pedal. Even the bike was a big one like Honda/Bajaj Pulsar.

This is perfect recipe for an accident and eventual death of either/both of them. This fool did not realize the fact that he is not only endangering his life but that of the kid too. It is no play or stunt show going on darn it![anger]

Re: Idiot Biker making a Kid ride Motorcycle!!

my suggestion would be its not bad to get the confidence up of the children however if you want to train them. train them on the ground not on the roads. at least that much of civic sense is required as to where to do what.
