IMO, old swift dzire is yet not discontinued. They are selling it in taxi market
Dzire Tour is the cab version of old Dzire & is completely base model. It competes with Etios & Verito in cab market. It comes with black bumpers & owner needs to get it painted at additional cost.
Do you really think a poll can show exit door to MSIL and India number one entry level sedan which is being sold in great number around 13500
per month.

Maruti Suzuki Sales in November 2012
Oh my god ! Admins , please tell us why you have added a sedan which is comletely reserved for taxi segment (yellow Regn.Plate) by MSIL ?and why you have excluded other taxis?.
Yes , The sedanswift dzire is not discontinued .But MSIL has cleverly hunted the herd mentality of Indian buyers. They launched a compact sedan to avail sub 4 meter excise benefit, named it swift dzire again. So the admins.correctly nominated it here as a 2112 launch .Sad part is that MSIL didn't passed the excise benefits to its custemers , and very few people know these facts .But voters here showed it its place.
On TAI atleast , it is revealed that good numbers doesn't mean good product always.

I have driven My Uncle's Duster for around 40Kms. I found that its a smooth car a little slow on the second gear but as you shift to the third its a rocket. I may be wrong here.

What I felt bad was that I couldn't get the feel of a SUV.. But it was quite a smooth and soothing drive.

Cogratulations duster for the trophy
One thing needs clarification here that less votes does not mean bad car.Q3 and camray are also good even though they they have received lesser votes than alto and dzire.

Finally Duster is TAICOTY followed by Ertiga, Quanto and Storme.
Yup. The polling has come to an end now and I’m glad to announce that The Automotive India Car of the Year Award goes to…Renault Duster! Must admit, last one month has been full of excitement looking at the neck to neck competition which was surprisingly only between the UVs. I intentionally didn’t mention my choice earlier but Ertiga took my vote for being an all-rounder product at a spot on price tag. Not that Duster isn’t capable; I just hope that Renault takes this massive fan following of Duster as a point of motivation to provide an overall quality product and lives up to the buyers’ expectations in long term. We will get in touch with Renault India shortly to hand over the first ever ‘The Automotive India Car of the Year’ Trophy.

Finally Game Over!
The excitement which we had to check out this thread just see the leading contestant will be missed; atleast by me. Nwayz congrats to Duster. Thought I had voted for the Ertiga, Duter missed the '7seater' quality which Ertiga have(although the last two seats are useless) Hope Duster will be having a grand party along with Ertiga, Strome and Quanto. :lol!:

Do you really think last seat in Ertiga is useless? I guess this comment can come from a family where all members are 6 feet tall and heavy built.

First of all no hard feelings for any Ertiga owners/lovers for my above statement.
And yes you are correct. I was refering to a family of all adults. Secondly, they say that this is a car for 5+2 people. Now according to me if one buys a car; he/she plans to keep it atleast 3-5years. So in that span of time; wont that '2' grow up and atleast reach that '5' category?[:D] Just my calculations thats it.
