Re: The ‘Urbano Bestia’. My Ford Ecosport 1.5 TDCI Titanium! (20K Service Done)

hello brother even i am facing this problem till date , my ecosport has run 15k kms, kindly help me how to get this problem immediately because the message is really annoying, also did you fit the led lights which is now available in showrooms.
Hi Vinrvk, welcome to TAI and hope you enjoy the forum and at the same time hope you find the information shared by we fellow members useful at all times.

Regarding the warning message, I recommend you to take a video of the message and escalate it to your nearest Ford service center and ask them to fix it. It is either because of the oil level or a faulty sensor. So far I have seen around 5 vehicles which have suffered with this issue in Ford's Belgaum service center. So I think 5 out of 100 vehicles have this problem[surprise]

I didn't go for the Ford's signature headlamps with LED DRl as I found them useless at day light, they are hardly visible. I suggest you instead go for DRL fitted in fog light black cover like this one Free shipping, 2x CAR Specific Excellent Led daytime running light DRL for Ford ECOSPORT 2013-in Daytime Running Lights from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com Do not buy it here, but try sourcing from your local accessory shop. I got them in a local store for around Rs4000/-

Guys,
Nice informative thread wrt Ecosport.
Done with 20K kms with Ecoboost.
1. Planning to change wiper blades with AEROTWIn model from Bosch -- any suggestions.
2. Having one issue with the player device, which is very irritating at times.
Sometimes, when the engine is turned OFF & then switched ON, the sync system goes into to indexing mode mainly with USB. Then I need to start with the first song.
But many a times, the system continues with the song where it has stopped. Also tried with pausing before engine OFF - but still problem persists.
Attaching the snapshot of the screen fo rthe version

@ Vj,
can you pls post pics of the lights you've modified. May plan to do in my Ecosport.
Kindly help
Hi Somash, Yup indeed, its always good to share information and get benefited overall.

I have not tried the Aerotwin blades from Bosch, but I have heard they have good and smooth wipe than the average quality of OEM one's. I suggest you go for it if you are willing to change the OEM ones. I have clocked around 27k on my Ecosport but still find the wiper blades doing fine.

Regarding the audio songs, No I haven't faced any issues of indexing. It indexes only when I have updated my Pen drive with new songs/folders or have removed some folders.

Moreover I feel its a software issue and should be easily fixed upon updating or reinstalling the software at your nearest Ford service center.

You can find the LED DRl's I have installed in my headlight here: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ort-1-5-tdci-titanium-20k-service-done-5.html

But I recommend you to go for the fog light DRl's mentioned above as installing LED strips in headlights is a cumbersome process and you will not like the way the accessory shops rip apart your headlight glass/lens from its body :)

Lets try below method to isolate and find what actually causing the problem,

Ecosport audio system is equiped to play mp3 or songs from CD, pendrive, bluetooth audio

Am not mentioning aux in and radio as those two are different (radio broadcasting doesnt need the same software / app or used to play mp3 and aux in ia simple external player only audio gets feeded to the speaker system .

1. Is it happening with songs from cd player ( yes or no )
2. If songs from cd and mobile played well with out issues then try using a diffrent pendrive and check.

I have used even mobile where it takes and played the song from.where i stoped the engine earlier, and same thing goes with cd

If all failed then its a software issue, dealer can install software and fix the issue.
Spot on @ MSN1! Please try these methods above, if it still doesn't work, then reinstalling or updating the software is your ultimate solution to fix this.

The Aerotwins look good. But I have some apprehension with these as they are frame-less. How is the swipe sound and does it swipe cleanly or some amount of water remains on the windshield compared to the OEM ones?

I have used sony 8gb, sandisk 8 gb, sandisk 4gb too, but never faced any issues, such as indexing and resuming a track.

No sound observed at all - Just taken trials with sprinkling water & sprays from windshield washer. Will get clear picture when used extensively. Thanks to delayed/no rains this year.
No water left outs after swiping.
These blades are originally curved to much extent as compared to OEMs. This makes it to takes the shape of the windshield I guess.

Excellent quality wipers I must say! Regarding the pen drive, I don't think its a brand specific issue. Still if you do have other brand pend rive, you can try.
Please keep us updated on the solution you find. Wish you all the very best and hope your problem gets resolved in a Jiffy without a single cent dent to your pocket[clap]

Re: The ‘Urbano Bestia’. My Ford Ecosport 1.5 TDCI Titanium! (20K Service Done)

Guys,
AEROTWIN wipers are too good. Happen to use them after servicing.
3rd service done at 20800 kms for Ecoboost.
Costing Rs. 5600/- to my pocket. Engine oil & filter, Brake fluid changed. Brakes cleaned.

Theres a issue with the wheel nuts for alloy wheels by FORD. They slip & the hexagonal shape changes to circular.
Till date each of nuts were removed to max 5 times only for wheel rotation.
Also the wheel spanner given by FORD has changes its shape.
This is one of the major concerns experienced by many Ecosport owners as per Service Engineer.

Guys,
take care of this.
This will be a major problem when stuck in middle of no where & you wanna to change the wheels.
They have 2 types one with MRP around Rs250 (comes in FIGO) & the same one of Ecosport for Rs350/-
Go for Rs. 250/- one its a bit of silver color with matte finish. As per them they don't wear out much.

Get checked all the wheel nuts & also if required get a good wheel spanner..

Estimated 9000kms for the entire tour.[:D]
9000 kms in a single run, I hope you get some proper treatment for Ecosport before doing that much miles, hope @Vjroadie know about essentials like extra water, engine oil, some diesel etc as back up, USE SYNC system effectively as it might help a lot for long journeys, tyres should be given a look after each 1000 kms ,to keep AC compressor off damage do not continuously keep AC running more than 4 hours etc

Have a happy and safe journey [:D]

Re: The ‘Urbano Bestia’. My Ford Ecosport 1.5 TDCI Titanium!

is this engine oil pressure low issue sorted out???

Hello Guys,

I have been getting this weird warning message after I start the car say after about 12 to 14 hours. It says '' Engine oil pressure low. Stop safely'' I did consult the Ford Service Advisor and he says this may be due to the engine being idle for 12 to 14 hours or for a long time and hence the oil level is at the bottom most part of the engine and hnce the message is being displayed.

Once I start the car in the morning this message appears and later when I turn off and turn on again the warning doesn't come and the same happens throughout the rest of the day, and the warning comes up again when I start the car the next morning after around 12 to 14 hours.

I am worried about this and not able to come to any conclusion. I have clocked 13000kms so far and request you all Ecosport owners if anyone of you has got this warning issue.

Please see the below image of the warning. Sorry for the blurred image but the warning message comes and disappears in a fraction of a second.

Please pour in your views on this.
