Did the PDI today. Looks fine. Will be taking delivery on Saturday.

I didn't bothered much about the alloys as if given an option, I personally would have opted for the 8 spoke ones over 18 spokes.

wow.... I loved this color this was my first choice and order 2 years back but since nobody had this color available, i thought it will be grey but end up dark grey. I then switched to Pearl White, like yours, i think I should say "White Pearl".

Anyway, yaa, I always wanted this color. But I like your white too. Infact any white is great, its such a soothing color. Only reason I don't go for it is I fear greater maintenance from my side as it seems to get dirty easily.

White get dirty real quick and i spend almost every weekend cleaning it but overall i am very happy with the car, good cabin space for 5 ( and i remember once i drove with 7 passenger and no kids), trunk is spacious, good build not like Amaze and on XT you get all feature. I can`t expect anything more than this. what i felt weak was the low beam light, which I am thinking of changing or adding Hella lights.
Also to make AC more effective in Chennai, I had 3M CR70 in all 6 panes, though its expensive but now i get full chillness

CR70 costed me around 22k for all 6 windows, its been 2 years and it has 2 year warranty, but warranty has its own T&C. 3M asked me to come every 6 month for general check up but remember this is against the state law, which means its a risk. If caught by police, they might remove the film.
The visibility is good since CR70 allows 70% visibility and 90% heat reflection.

Guys I am going to get Zest XT diesel in this week,just booked. After considering figo,polo n dzire narrowed down to zest diesel. My main priority was strong build quality n safety plus comfort as this is going to be my first car. Hope TaTa Zest diesel doesn't have issues like power loss of petrol engine etc. Any comments would be welcome on zest diesel xt build quality vs dzire etc.

on 31st Tata sales people put lot of pressure saying insurence 30k offer is going to be lost and so on and even though I knew deep inside its all BS, I was kind of decided so thought why not go buy the vehicle on 31st itself and I had been to showroom very late in the evening and could not able to decide between white and grey. They had only grey xt, white xe and silver bolt in showroom. The white colour car was out side in their yard and silver was in the show room and in the full affects of lights I felt silver was better and choosen silver cause they were saying that they have to get the vehicle from some other dealer due to non availability of colours with them in xt and they need to tell that to their area TSM and he will reassign that car to this dealer. Now my family didn't like that silver colour and Tata showroom people refuse to change the colour saying they are getting that car on my name from some other Tata dealer and its not possible to change at all. I tried talking to them but they keep on say that they are getting the car on my name even if they have to sell that car to some one else, the car would be permanently on my name in Tata records and they have to call the service center people every time not to create any issues for who ever buy that car in future. This logic I don't understand, I have paid only 15k ( 10k earlier for Tiago booking amount + 5k with out any receipt,told receipt will be given next day ) and clearly told them that I will tell bank to RTGS only when I see the car physically and now they say that the car is already on my name and they need to pay the full amount to another dealer and the car can not be transferable to others.
Any one suggest what to do now? As I mentioned I have not yet finished the banking formalities to finalize the car loan and now in deep mess weather to go a head and pay the amount and get the silver color half heatedly? My family says don't take even though we loose the 15k as the car cost is 9 lak 24 thousand and if not satisfied and Tata giving only free comprehensive insurance. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

You actually fell for the age old tactics of the dealers. Had you been a bit more stern for the deal they wouldn't have pushed you for it. Let me tell you, BOLT does not sell in huge numbers any which ways so just to close the deal they cooked up the story of bringing the car from other dealer.
Simply denounce the deal and only a reasonable amount would be deducted from the paid amount and rest should be refunded. I booked an Ertiga from my uncle's outlet of Maruti. While PDI I found it was banged from behind, immediately cancelled the deal and after deducting 250/- Rupees, I was refunded Rs. 4750/- in 10 days by cheque. Also, its not that big a deal to change the color. TATA Bolt would surely be having a good amount of inventory since its a slow seller. Frankly, the dealer is talking rubbish.
This is totally insane and utterly stupid and cunning of the dealer. In no ways can a unsold car stay on a prospective buyer's name. There are 100's of cars with every brand's dealer whose deal don't finalize but that does not mean that the car gets invoiced on a prospective buyer's name. Morever, When you have not paid for RTO, Road TAX and Insurance then on what proof will they enter your name in their records? What proof of payment will they show? And most importantly, Will the other buyer be a fool who'll buy an already invoiced car? They can not do anything illegal and if they do, they will be termed as frauds. This is all foolish things they are talking. They can never have your name in their records until they have proper proof of you being their customer.
First thing, why did they not give a receipt for 5K you paid? Even 500 Rs. if charged by dealer there is a proper bill for it. Secondly, you don't pay them anything until you see the car. If the car is at other dealer, go and see it first only then make payment. It is a matter of principle and of-course the money as well.
Cancel the loan and pay the file charges if any.
Firstly, you'll not be loosing entire paid amount only some fraction of it would be deducted if the dealer is honest. BOLT does not command a booking amount of 15K. You approach with this matter to TML on Facebook and Twitter with all the details of deal and dealer.
PS: Did you get the payment receipt for Rs. 5,000 you paid, the next day?

Thank you Akash, the car was Zest not Bolt but still it doesn't have much sales either. The sales manger said any way I was going to pay full amount (RTGS) the next day why to give another receipt, for that I didn't object cause it was late and I wanted to leave, it was a mistake on my part Now he says that invoice had been made on my name and they cant change the colour. He was talking to Tata TSM about my choice and asking him to allot / send the car when I was there. Sales manger said Tata TSM will allot the car from another dealer to him and then they will pay to that dealer and get the car. He asked me to pay the full money the next day and I told him I wont until I physically see the car. Now I realize after you mention, how can they make invoice with out paying Road tax and insurance, even though they have my pan card details? How can they make invoice before customer pays the full money with advance payment? I guess they are trying to force me to take silver color. I was expecting call from them today but they didn't bother to call Now I guess I need to wait for a day or 2 and if they don't respond then contact another dealer about the zest xt quotation. One more thing is if I contact another dealer I think the Tata TSM will get to know about me once the deal finalizes.

Once you receive the refund then think and plan about which brand you need to buy from. Peace of mind, clarity of thought and comfort level with the brand / dealer is really important buddy. So, take a decision after thinking peacefully.
What is this TSM by the way? I am not really conversant with the short-form.

Next time don't fall for such lame and cunning excuses by the dealers. Preferably use a Credit Card for the payment so that you'll have at-least a customer copy with you.
