Re: Tata Zest: Review | Test Drive | Pictures

Sometimes I've seen even in recirculate mode and AC is on there is hot air at the footwell. Even if the AC control shows an indication that AC is on at the footwell. Sometimes its fine with same settings but sometimes i feel the cool air stops after 10-15 mins and hot air starts blowing only at footwells. Has anybody noticed this ?

Seems like most of the owners are reporting this issue. Maybe someone with inside contacts in TML can raise this issue.

Wincy can be the one to do that [;)]

Re: Tata Zest: Review | Test Drive | Pictures

Hi Guys,

I visited another Tata dealer in my city and the sales rep told me that waiting period for XT Revtron is about 4-6 weeks, so even if I book it now I would get 2014 manufactured model in 2015 January so I asked him if I need 2015 model then he said I may book if in next year but I may be getting the car in May or June, are you kidding me[frustration]?
More interesting thing he added that TM may be increasing the price of the Zest next year and if it happens before my car’s delivery (Even if I book at existing price) I will have to pay increased amount as well and may be 333 commitment will also be paid and one need to pay for that.
I am not sure if he was saying all that to force me booking immediately or its really true , anyone heard the same thing ?:help:

Now I am thinking to go back to my previous choice That’s Xcent , at least no major issue heard so far for this car and ASS is also good.

BTW anyone heard any feedback coming from TML regarding burning issue of Zest, I was planning to book in coming week but now I am little concerned as TML is absolutely silent on this issue.

With respect to price it might increase or the free silver AMC and 3 year road side assurance will be charged I guess. Read this on TBHP. There is a written mail to all the dealer it seems.

Xcent is really a good car, but the interiors of the Zest is better and has more IMO and not to forget the audio quality.

Hi,

As per knowledge there will be no price increase near future. I asked some time back SA about price increase, SA told there is no chance and TMl looking get back their customers and they are re building Tata image in cars sections. When i talked with tml representative, he cleared that tml is focusing more on customer satisfaction and ASS. He also told in few months they will compete with other car companies in ASS.

Hi Lohith. I did notice the same stuff with the A/C. But I get it only when I set the temp 25* and above. I feel that it has something to do with the turbo charged engine which gets heated up quite fast and the insulation inside the bonnet to cover the heat from making it way inside the passenger bay is not enough protection.

then we should report TML or service center. So that they will work on it for fix.

Did you check the outside temperature when it happened?
there is a good chance that outside temperature is lower and climate control is trying to get the inside temperature to 25.

In that case the blower from top vents should also be hot/warm similar to vents from footwell. The central and side vents had cold air and only the vents at footwell were blowing hot air.

Yes whenever the temperature set was around 25 and above. When I observed this issue 2-3 times the temperature was at 26~27.5

It may be AC software issue. I drove to service center, they checked everything and concluded there is no insulation problem or no hole from engine bay to cabin/AC vents.

The TML is not increasing the prices of ZEST, but the Silver AMC and 333 commitment is going to be charged from next year as my SA has shown me the TML mail regarding that.

On top of that, those who all are waiting for next year purchase must keep in mind that Excise duty of 12.5% rebate is valid only up to 31st December 2014 unless our government decides to extend it as it did last time. So if govt. decides not to extend the relief, expect 12.5% increase in prices of all cars from 1st January 2015.[frustration]

What if the hot air is designed to blow only from the down vents?
I didnt check it, but just telling a possibility
