Will all Vista get the front bumpers modification? Those looks really sporty mann...
When we went to Concorde Motors. We took pics of Vista 90 HP, Raja have the pics, he will post it later. But the color was looking astonishingly great.
I think Raja has already posted the pics few pages back.[confused]

Anyway,Vista D90 has been driven by IAB,and here is what they say:

Tata Motors launched the Vista back in 2008 and it was a smash hit right away. More than 2.3 lakh Vistas run up and down the Indian streets on a regular basis. It is one of the top three best selling cars in the A+ segment. Unfortunately, the Vista offers very little in terms of desirability and aspirations.

The biggest USP of the Vista was space which was not going to turn any heads with the younger audience. Thus, Tata Motors realized that there is a need for a premium Vista which offers all the features of a premium hatchback, comes loaded with technology and offers a little more kick than the normal Vista. The Vista D90 was commissioned to become the halo car for the Indica/Vista brand.

The biggest change in the D90 is definitely the engine. It is powered by a 1.3L MultiJet QuadraJet engine with a VGT (variable geometry turbocharger) instead of an FGT (fixed geometry turbocharger). The result is an output of 88bhp and 200Nm of torque.
Does that make the Vista feel very sporty to drive? The answer is a bit complicated.

The engine is definitely more responsive now. Even at lower rpms, there is noticeably lesser turbolag. Put your foot down and the torque kicks-in almost immediately. The engine revs all the way to 5,000 rpm without any worries but does not rev beyond the 5K mark.

A 0-100 km/hr sprint can be achieved in 15.5 seconds which is noticeably quicker than the bigger engined i20 and the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Swift. The 76.3 PS/Ton power-to-weight ratio of the D90 is also much better than i20 (75.6) and Swift (69.4).

Being a diesel, it offers a fantastic in-gear acceleration. The D90 features optimized gear ratios which improve the real world drivability. Adding to that, a flat torque between 1,750 rpm and 3,000 rpm means you don’t have to change gears frequently. An ARAI certified fuel economy of 21.12 kmpl is just the icing on the cake!

The grip from the R14 Bridgestone tubeless tyres is very good and the braking is much better than the 75 PS version..............

It is not a ‘hot hatch’ per say but it is definitely a hot deal!

Yes,I went there for the Tjet. It took them half an hour to confirm if the Tjet is in production. Still I really loved the Linnea and wanted a TD. They did not have the car so they said that they will call me up. Still waiting for the call.

Concorde Motors, Mumbai have IPads and hen they show the interiors and features of the vehicle on the big LCD screen using their IPad. and after that one can easily go and check the vehicle on their own. They had nice lounge area as well. Over all feel of the showroom wqas really up market, actually din't feel like it was TATA. [:D]

Concorde motors is owned by TATA (hope I am right). So expect it to change drastically in a couple of years. AND those body panels are optional only.

Tata Vista Quadrajet D90 Extreme Concept

Tata Motors has showcased the Vista D90 Xtreme concept.
The Tata Vista D90 Xtreme concept is a wanna be SUV. With a raised suspension and the so called rough road package, the Vista D90 Xtreme is quite similar in concept to the likes of Skoda Fabia Scout, VW Cross Polo, Hyundai HB20X and Honda Fit Twist.

The car’s suspension is raised by 25mm and the rear suspension’s dampers are retuned. The D90 Xtreme concept has lots of exterior bits that justify its name. . The color of choice for the concept is Gun metal Yellow.
The front bumper has dramatic detailing with chin spoiler, hexagonal lower air dam and side air vents. The bonnet has vents too. The profile of the car is characterized by flared wheel arches, 16″ alloy wheels and black side skirts. The rear of the car gets dual tone bumper and importantly, the spare wheel is placed at the tailgate using some kind of a hinge mounting system. The tail gate along with the roof is painted in black.

The interior gets black leather seats with contrast yellow double stitching. The seats offer better lumbar and thigh supports. The gear knob and pedals get aluminum treatment while the door lever is finished in satin silver.
Though it is called as the D90 Xtreme, the concept employs a 105 PS version of the engine which is equipped with what Tata calls as the Power Boost Module. However, no further explanation regarding the technology was made.
