Friends,

Update

The insurance of the car was falling due on 13th Aug-2018 so got the same renewed today. The offered premium by the dealer was Rs. 13,455/- but then me being me[;)] immediately sat down for negotiations on the same with the lady there. Finally, was successful in getting a discount of Rs. 1360/- and paid Rs. 12,092 in total for the Zero Dep Policy.

^^ Is this your first insurance renewal for Tigor ?
Tigor launched in 2017 March and my car is June 2017 manufactured. I purchased it in August 2017 so from Aug-2017 to August 2018 it makes an year. Insurance is renewed annually hence from August-2017 till August 2018, it is 1 year. So, based on the above, it is my car's first insurance renewal[:D]

IDV seems to be on lower side based on original invoice value.
I am fine with it as long as there isn't any hassle in claiming the insurance if need arises.

Friends,

3rd Free Service Update post 1 year Ownership

Today I got my car's 3rd free service done. ODO ~11,900 kms. Since the tenure of 1 year was complete so as per the service guideline got the servicing done. As usual, the Engine oil, Oil Filter were changed and the Air Filter was cleaned. The engine bay was cleaned with air pressure and the wheel arch(s) were cleaned with water. I don't opt for top wash of my car since it's nothing but wasting water unnecessary and secondly my chauffeur cleans the car daily so I am OK with that. Interiors were vacuumed and the car was handed over.

The job is done to my satisfaction. Being a Monday, the workload at the dealership/service center was low hence not much time taken. Gave car at 12pm and took back at 2pm. Total Expense: Rs. 1340/-

Work in Progress Pics of my car's 3rd Free Service.

Now, 2 shortcomings I have to mention:

1) My Service Advisor Mr. Puneet Goel did not get any service feedback form filled this time by me. He did not even bother to ask for it. This person has faulted 2nd time. After leaving I have informed my Sales person to inform of the same to the GM and suggested him to send someone for the feedback.

2) On the bill attached above, the typist has mentioned "2nd Free Service" where as it was my car's 3rd Free Service. They probably need a bit of proof-reading.

Service Experience Rating Overall: 9/10

One mark deducted because of Mr. Puneet Goel who did not provide/ask me for filling the service feedback form this time. Apart from these there are no issues with service or the car.

Friends,

My Tigor becomes 1 Year Old[clap]

IMG_4345.JPG

Today is the 1st Birthday of my Tigor. On 16 August 2017, got this beautiful looking sedan home. Today, on 16th August 2018, I thought to write down a few lines describing the journey with my 1st TATA car.

Sometimes, it isn't easy to convince someone to try something new or opt for something new over something which has been tested and tried. However, to have faith in yourself and to be convinced of your decision makes the things a lot easier. To make someone put their trust and faith in a new product isn't really easy and alot of convincing is needed to make them finally go in for the new one. I faced a similar situation 1 year back when it was about selecting a capable replacement for my 10.5 year old Maruti Esteem. It wasn't easy at all to let go of the memories I had with that car & it wasn't for my dad to let go of that car too. But, sometimes, emotions need to take a backseat and we have to think practically. So, after a point, investing on the Esteem wasn't a wise move and so we began to search for a new car. Tata's Tigor was one of the choices as others being the Aspire and CIAZ. What made absolutely convinced for this car was the Features, Brand Name & Price too. There were a lot of opinions about the Tata Brand & their products of which many were unsolicited ones too. However, having seen and experienced this car on many occasions, I firmly felt that Tigor in petrol can be a capable car for our use. For a brand to establish itself, a major factor is the faith of customers in the brand and it's products. So, Tigor was bought as a medium for within city drives and was accompanied by my Honda CITY IVtec.

It has been 1 year precisely today owning this car and so far for me in ~12K kms, there has not been any major niggle or a concern. The support of the ASC has been good so far and the Tigor has performed reasonably well. I bought this car knowing well the limitations it came with and within those limitations, this petrol variant of Tigor hasn't disappointed me so far. I am among the rising numbers of satisfied TML customers and honestly, with this 1 year of experience, I won't hesitate on adding another TML car (which is indeed going to happen soon).

IMG_4344.JPG

To sum it up, I'll say, always be proud of the vehicle you own and take immense pride to keep your ride in best of shape.

Congrats Akash on completing 1 year with your silver 'Style back', looks stunning with the blacked out head lights and tail lights.

Looks as good as new.

Congratulations & Happy Birthday to your dear Tigor

One question - Why didn't you go for XZA ? ( Is that AMT variant was not launched at that time??)
Thanks bro. Yes, AMT wasn't launched at the time of my car's purchase. Secondly, as my Esteem was top spec so made sure to replace the same with a top spec variant i.e XZ(o) of Tigor and that too in Silver to keep the memories of my Esteem alive.

Thanks, Sir. The headlamps of XZ(o) do add sportiness to the profile of the car and overall, the car is still a attention grabber on the roads. Haven't done anything to the tail lights though and kept them stock.

For now, just hoping to add a companion to the Tigor as soon as possible. Buying another TML car is on priority in the list of To-Do things.

Well, presently the tussle is between Nexon XZ+ Diesel & Hexa XMA. Harrier is bit far a call considering the launch. Have to decide between the 2 and go ahead.

Thanks - all the best.

It seems Tigor XZA are in great demand? - I have booked one on the 2nd of this month, but till now it has not reached. The dealer says that Tigor XZA is in more demand (all over India basis) so this delay, however they have XZ (O) readily available[confused][confused]

Could be so. However, if you are fine with a manual top end Tigor in petrol i.e XZO, the dealer has it and it fulfills your needs then buy XZO variant buddy.

I am ok with manual (in fact I liked the XZO, because it comes with company fitted Reverse Camera and touch screen), however family & friends, advise was that in a couple of years, most of the Cars will be in AMT and AT's so better opt for advanced technology instead of sticking to the old style. I was in a confusion at that moment, but somehow booked the AMT version.

Let me see what will happen in next two days.![roll]
