1 They should have made it wider and lower.
2 DRL should have been provided.
3 They should have bumped up the power ,especially for petrol.
4 Touchscreen should have been bigger ,akin to kwid.
5 Government should do away with 4m rule for the greater good of humanity.

1. Its wider by 30mm to Tiago and most of us won't want it to be lower as Tiago itself is not tall.
2. They provided projectors. Isn't that a great addition than DRLs which I personally find almost useless.
3. Yes would love to have more power but hope they don't do at the cost of FE seeing the ever rising fuel prices.
4. Bigger touchscreen is fine but not like kwid where touchscreen feels like a micromax tablet attached on the top. Touchscreen should be well integrated and should flow smooth unlike what I see in Kwid.
5. Yes certainly.

1 Tata TIGOR

Current dimension-
Width 1677mm ,Height 1537mm

What I would have preferred -
Width 1730mm ,Height 1500mm

It would have looked like this, car to the extreme right-

Height suit a coupe SUV not a sedan,IMHO.

concept coupe suv (14).jpg

2 I love the projectors, but a unique DRL would have been icing on the cake.

3 No one is demanding outright power, just enough to cruise at 120km/hr with full load on a highway, without compromising much on mileage.Having said that, let's wait for the actual on road performance.I repeat again,no one is expecting a hot hatch, just don't want it to struggle at full load on high speeds.

4 I agree ,the touchscreen on Kwid is not aesthetically done.I was talking about something like this-

I am not bashing this car ,I love it but yeh dil mange more!!!!!!!!!![evil][evil]

There are lots of important changes except from the addition of boot.

Few are:

# Balancer shaft in petrol engine (a big difference) [:D]
# Auto climate control
# Bigger wheel base for better rear space and leg room
# Bigger End to end seat setup for 3 passengers ease
# Dual airbags and abs standard on even lowest trim
# Projector headlamps
# Better infotainment system than Tiago
# Rear parking camera
# Changes in door trims are also there along with size

And lots more..

So now it all depends on the PRICING[;)]

All in all amazing product from Tata[clap]

You missed out addition of rear armrest and a slightly wider body compared to Tiago.
Feature difference are more so variant to variant comparison is not exactly meaningful with Tiago. Expect best pricing atleast in the beginning like the Tiago. Seems more likely a success in hand. 3cyl engines are bound to vibrate. Not sure why they chose not to use balancer shaft in Tiago. I hope they do something about AC too as with AC drop in power is huge in Tiago. Hope ACC helps. Overall looks too lucrative. It's definitely going to have some impact in the hatchback market as well.

The NDTV review of the Tigor seems to give a general thumbs up to the car, apart from the NVH levels of the petrol:-
"......lets begin with the petrol. Although it does have some impressive specs on paper, the Tigor petrol engine does disappoint a tad bit as it still feels a little laggy and underpowered on the road. The NVH levels too are higher than expected, especially when revved all the way to its red line at about 6000 rpm, which might be an issues especially since a subcompact sedan is used mainly as a family mover..."

So it appears that the use of the balancer shaft (or Lanchester shaft) has not satisfied the NDTV nitpickers! However, the final verdict is positive ("...As a package, the Tigor is extremely well suited for any Indian family who wants to upgrade from an entry level hatchback but still wants a three box design...") and should set most buyers' misgivings at rest.

Sometimes these media people are too much. On one hand they say that as a family mover the car is good but if you red line then too much of NVH levels. I don't understand which car becomes quieter as you step on the gas and increase the RPM levels? I think they should apply some logic before making such comments. How many people does red lining on a regular basis? If people use car for family and city driving purpose there is no need for taking to 6000 RPM. Atleast i haven't done this so called 'red lining' ever since i started driving 14 years back.

I am also disappointed not to see any AMT on offer. It would have been perfect for me with AMT option.

About Screen size, I think 5 inch is good enough size.
It is good enough to serve screen for reverse parking.
Having a big screen surely add luxury, but there are many negatives too..

1. It is a big distraction if something is been played on screen and someone is driving.. Bigger the screen, bigger the distraction. Also, bright screen reflection is clearly visible dashboard.

Anyone who needs entertainment on board, carry a iPad and sit in rear seats.. problem solved. Surely you can do a lot more in iPad/Tablet...

2. Also, in order to place big screens, car designer push AC vents to sides, that are supposed to be in middle to provide better cooling for rear passengers.

3. Not sure how easy and precise it is do control a infotainment system with touch controls for a someone especially while driving the car.

Dont judge me.. Just buy tablet along with new car.. You cant carry great speakers all the time(and thats when 8 Harmon speaker will come to use), but can always carry great display units..
