Quick Question: I am facing a minor issue in my music system which occurs very rarely, the system restarts itself on the move. Not sure what could be the reason.

Second thing is when the phone is connected via bluetooth and if I get a msg, it displays on the system as a call and the system hangs. After couple of seconds, it restarts. Has anybody faced this issue?

I just saw your question in the official review thread as well. Just this week Harman ignored all my inputs (both HU and steering controls) and continued playing the current song. I had to stop the engine, remove and re-insert the key to shut it down.
Since your second case is repeatable, I would recommend testing with another phone of a different make to rule out phone specific problems. Other than that, you can also try upgrading to latest Harman firmware version R1.47 (mine is R1.3). I am planning to get mine upgraded after mid-January.

I just saw your question in the official review thread as well. Just this week Harman ignored all my inputs (both HU and steering controls) and continued playing the current song. I had to stop the engine, remove and re-insert the key to shut it down.
Since your second case is repeatable, I would recommend testing with another phone of a different make to rule out phone specific problems. Other than that, you can also try upgrading to latest Harman firmware version R1.47 (mine is R1.3). I am planning to get mine upgraded after mid-January.

How about Tata logo for Tiago's key chain ?
PS - Selvasingh Stores (cross cut road) has quite a few good key chains, most of them being Toyota, Hyundai & VW. Mine was was the last piece they had in Tata.

I am a new to this forum and after doing long research i decided to go for my First ever car and i don't regret my decision of buying this amazing fantastico car called Tata Tiago

i got my tiago xz petrol last week and i am in the process of finishing up the review
There are some issues that i have mentioned below and hoping to get fixes from users who are driving this beauty for long time.
Main issues
Rattling sound from dashboard especially from driver side near the right rear view mirror..i am getting continuous rattling from that area and its making me go donald trump.
and i find lil difficult to change gear from 1st to 2nd as it feels hard sometimes?do i need to press clutch all the way down?
Noticeable sound comes when shifting gears from 1-2-and 3-2-1 is that ok or some major issue?
and regarding clutch have anyone noticed that it can pull up when u pull it with ur legs towards you but not the brakes or accelerator?
while taking reverse my music pauses and starts back when changed from reverse to normal..is that a feature or a bug?
noticed 2 times restarts of Harman music system while connecting to bluetooth?
Apart from these issues i am happy to be owner of Tiago as its VFM and features are of top class.I got this baby for 5.70 on road Hyderabad

Hello Abhishek,

First of all congrats on your first "FANTASTICO" car .

I did not notice any rattling sound near dashboard, but when I went for servicing technician noticed little bit of sound and did something and now its okay... You can check with them with 1st service.

Regarding gear shift, I think you need to push clutch all the way down. It is smooth gear shifting. If you face same problem, there might be some problem with clutch... inform service people.

Regarding music system, the volume goes down when you are in reverse gear and comes back to normal volume when you change gear, but it does not stop completely. I have no problems connecting with BT. Observe all problems and if any of these persist or new problems, you can always get it rectified in 1st service.

Haven't noticed this issue in my Tiago. Try to isolate the sound and place a request during 1st service.

I find lil difficult to change gear from 1st to 2nd as it feels hard sometimes?do i need to press clutch all the way down?

I press the clutch fully down all the times when changing gears and haven't had gear changing issue. But i do have issues while engaging reverse gear. It is not as smooth as other gears and is coarse while shifting to reverse. have kept a note for first service.

This is not a bug and this feature can be enabled or disabled through settings. Below are the instructions from Tiago Infotainment manual.

Tiago's gearbox isn't silky smooth and I have always felt it slightly notchy. However, this can wait until you complete 2K+ km unless it is really bothering your driving. And yes, press the clutch all the way down.

This is normal too. If windows are rolled down, this is even more audible.

Yes this was first noticed by TSIVipul during his official review as well.

i actually booked my car on 25th December. and md got it delivered on 2nd jan and I asked my dealer about price hike and he said yes in January price will be up by 10-20 k but for me price remained same as I paid the money b4 hike and took loan which was also approved in 3 days
may be now in some cities they have hiked thr price but i doubt it wont be that much as its still a new addition

Hi Veeresh, I too had made the full payment in December last week. So new price wasn't applicable to me.
By the way, anybody here knows the new prices of Tiago?
Just checked in Tata Motor's Website and there is no price change yet.

"Price Hike" news is just another business strategy adopted by all manufacturers.. You would have seen all Manufacturers published news saying they are going to hike price in January 2017! None of them actually did yet! Every year this drama continues. They will only hike after March. Anyway, Tiago worth price hike as its giving most of the features at very low price than competitors.

You must have received a Nov-Dec16 Manufacture car. They actually tried to push all 2016 cars by this news. (I too booked one..)

There is no price hike in real!! I booked in early Dec, was suppose to get a 2016 car on Jan first week. But I denied to accept that car because of some issue. Today I got a new car of Jan 2017 mfg. SA told there been no hike except RTO registration hike!!
