Lol iam yet to understand his post his claims and his findings . But he is for sure more knowledgeable about tata cars in general then the owners themselves .

I think Superbad has some understanding of this grave situation where Tata has come to as of now. Investement of Tata car owners remains like a gamble. I believe this reality isnt a hard thing to notice for anybody.

On the other hand Mahindra has won hearts of us Indians with some worthy product even if not the best. They have considerably improved the quality of service at least since a year where as Tata is still there where it used to be a Decade back
Come on Gurrala, do not try to sidetrack Superbad for what he is bringing up here which may be harsh reality to face.

yes if you chat with TATA guys then you will notices this Govt, employee attitude(daring and dashing for nothing attitude).

but why I mentioned they are changing is because of bad experience with FORD guys couple of weeks ago, I booked TD for figo and I got a call from chennai customer service office next day, they collected evry info and asured a call within 48 hours from dealer now it is 20th day still no response but I had good experience in my 2 TD of STORME and ARIA in recent time within 48 hours every thing including TD is done.

officially I'll in bangalore till 25th of this month, hopefully storme will be launched here and get a chance to show it to my DAD, Mom and my wife.

See my dear, Scorpio may be short on space but you are going overboard now. Sorry but I beg to differ on this point of luggage and people stuffing together as at the end leave 'only' the front seats and both are nearly same.

Coming to under thigh support, I was 5'9" those days and I never felt under thigh support of Scorpy an issue, yes legroom was less and there was never a feeling of spaciousness of Safari but under thigh support was okay...though seats were never as comfy as of Safari but they were not that bad either.

I am not here for any cheap arguments as it gets more personal at times, for which I guess I have no time.

In my Scorpio m-hawk, if I need more space I have the luxury of removing my third row and/or sliding the second .Since I don’t use the third row ,I have managed space in such that 5 people can sit in comfort with adequate luggage area behind as well. Also in refreshed scorpios[post 2009] ,the seats do have good under thigh support even for a 6.0 footer like me.To believe it one should have the right attitude to accept the reality and needs to experience it than assuming it.


Scorpio has been the King [objective-market response] in its segment for all these years since its introduction, due to variety of reasons. Even after the launch of a world class attempt in XUV ,the consistent demand for Scorpio is the testimony for its reliability and practicality for the money you spend.

If one is looking for a 4x2 SUV in the price bracket Scorpio/s still is a strong contender. But these days we do have more options to choose from whether it is a Duster or Storme LX ,provided the latter proves at least as reliable as the scorpio .It depends on how the vehicle is built and also on how good and efficient the TASS is in one’s own area where you will be getting your storme serviced or looked after.

If one is looking for a 4x4 SUV in sub 20L,it won’t again be difficult for people to decide on between Scorpio LX 4WD , Scorpio VLX 4WD or Storme VX 4x4 depending on their requirements. They simply need to TD them ,compare their off road abilities and try and convince themselves which one to go for, considering the price of each vehicle [I don't want to rub salt in the wound by quoting the price of each of the vehicles mentioned here]and once again their reliability which in turn has a lot to do with the brand and quality of service offered at the respective ASS.

Either I am against TATA or M&M and their products

My experience with Indica was really bad(not product, but TASS here, you can see my comments on TATA on the reliability thread)
I cannot digest the initial niggles part on Aria(A premium crossover by TATA, you can see my comments on Justinlas thread and karthickramus thread)

But when I have seen and driven Storm, felt it is really a superb one from TATA with a surprise on my face and there is nothing wrong calling a good product as good product here with true riding experience of it.

Now coming down to Mahindra

I drove the Bolero camper for 6 months extensively in Punjab,Ahmedabad,Rajasthan interior places with some really pathetic road conditions. Extensive means almost a 200km drive everyday or alternate day and Bolero was really really good in my opinion to handle those roads, only thing was the rear seats area was bit cramped. So I like Bolero

I drove Scorpio many times and sat in every seat and completely disappointed with its ride quality especially on bad roads, it is really a bumpy thing and on highway it will scare with its body roll and I always felt seats were cramped and never felt scorpio comfortable

I drove XUV 500 recently when my friend bought and my feeling was not so great as Storm, hence I have reported the same very clearly

So all above will tell you that I am not a fan of a company or vehicle and tried to be completely unbaised. now check the Superbad status, since you have expressed the sympathy on him, just check his any of the post you will find unnecessary hatred on a particular product or company and funniest part is he never owned that company vehicles and never drove them I hope, when a storm is available right next to him, but he is so reluctant to take a TD(there may be two reasons, if he drives it, he has to come with a report saying either good or bad, he doesn't want that to happen, or he fear driving a beast)

So without owning or driving how he keep on writing his bad assumptions in the forum, is that a wise thing to do ??

To be frank with you M&M(bolero exception) or TATA(manza,vista,storm exemption) never won my heart so far with their vehicles, Yes, Maruti won for 800,alto,swift,ritz. Fiat won with padmini,punto and ambassador has won my heart.

Now I hope you understand what is my point in my post as it is always not a good thing to keep a permanent perception on any one or anything in the world, things keep changing either way and we need to understand them time to time

Yes, If storm is found bad in future nobody can stop bashing !! what is our interest to protect if it is bad. I own a Ritz, but I never try to protect it if it has a problem, neither Suzuki is my in-laws company and M&M is my enemies company

See there is no denying of a fact that Scorpio is a good vehicle and sells great since its inception and like all other vehicles it has its short commings .

Storme is a 2012 product so it feels more refined and better put product then Scorpio , this is what who have driven the storme are reporting . Some are assuming that since storme is better Scorpio becomes bad its not that , please understand the argument is not that " Scorpio is bad " the debate is " storme is a better product " ( in whatever initial impressions we all had ) i agree storme is yet to prove its reliability in the market .

Manoj like you said one needs to have a right attitude to accept it and not just assumptions .

Who are reporting here have driven the storme and Scorpio both and reporting , but some have not even seen the storme yet and commenting on many factors what shall we call it assumptions ? .

And its not imp that you must like the storme for its look , engine response , fit and finish , colour quality , see our member Krish _go on storme official review thread posted he saw storme and dint like it has any 1 argued with him ?

If you have read the post you will see all who have driven the storme are commenting that tata needs to get their act together for their a.s.s which is inconsistent throughout the country . Yet some members without owning a single tata car are going upto to a limit of posting that you need to service the car in outside garage , do you seriously belive that ?

I respect your view because you have limited your critisissm upto features only and are not commenting on things which one needs to expreince in real before posting and hence promotes healthy discussions . But tell me what is the use of discussing under tigh support of storme when you have not sat in storme or have even seen it in real ? Check the storme official review thread some are posting this inspite of not seeing the storme in real , is this facing reality or assuming things ?

@manoj,right you are .

:-@all,this is what needs to happen .Once this happens ,rest of the things eg.misconceptions ,pros and cons can be discussed here depending upon the individual requirements rather than throwing links for sales figures .Many members including me have tried o convince the same in the past on this and other threads.
