Guys,
Any suggestions on fixing a tuning box on storme. I approached a local workshop, they offered me "Diesel Tronic" tuning box for rs.19.5k. It has 4 modes which can be selected by a remote control.
On economy mode they claim the mileage will increase by 35%
On power mode the power and torque will increase by 40%

What news about the facelift?
I can tell you about the changes though. Its coming with the same old side facing third row. There is a minor hike in power and most probably, a 6th gear (manual only) for better FE on highways will be on offer. One more sprit dampener would be absence of any double din touch screen which was very much anticipated.
On the outside, the grill has been changed to range roverish style and the chrome 'storme' badging on top of the grill will now be in black. Was it worth the wait?? In my opinion- A Big NO[frustration]

Dont worry, they'll do it in their usuall stile. launch another facelift with double din in 2016 last and front facing third row in in the same car after 2 years. We Tata fans/fools then also talk about it and wait for that facelift.[frustration]
I think somebody there in this company( paid by competiters), who constantly tring by their decisions to keep the sales of their models under this 1-2 k numbers

Re: Tata Safari Storme Review | Test Drive | Pictures

Hi Folks

Glad to be part of TAI today and planning to buy Storme later this year. Having read all threads on Storme online, I am convinced and prepared for small niggles that may come as part of ownership. Only thing I am unsure about is the FE as I understand it depends on driving style in case of Storme... can you please share the same (if sedately driven) in Delhi & around (City & Highway).

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it actually depends on individual driving style. From what i have learnt from the users reviews, its average in the city ranges from 11 till 13 while on highway, it goes up by 2 kms.

City -have been getting 10-11 with 100% AC ON, provided you drive properly and in right speed and gears!!. Worst was 7-8 -but then it was due to bad driving style. Highway -have always got 14 with 100% AC on -driven 6K in last 7 months with 60-40 ration of highway and city.

Gents... can you please help me finalize the decision. If I can extract 12 in city & 14-15 on highways, its gonna be Storme. However stories of 7-8 KMPL scares me.

I have read multiple ownership reviews and still not sure on what FE I can expect in Delhi / NCR. If not storme... I will have to invest in Verna and I know I won't like that [frustration]

mine is giving 10 -11 in city and 13-14 on highway rpm max at 2500 with 100 kmh to 110 kmh not more than that .

and specially for city driving it is a comfortable SUV and for highway it is a excellent suv .i have done around 15000 km till date and it a vfm although u will face some niggles like door noise or truck pulling to left side but these all problems that can be solved if u face them ..and most of all its commanding view is best in its class no body can beat it believe me .rear seats are most spacious at all.on highway strome is a beast.

@Shail1061 has this been since you bought the Storme ?? Or is cos of any recent maintenance issues ? I am keen to know.

4x4 is slightly heavy but that should not affect the FE so much.
