Re: Tata Falcon Hatchback & Compact Sedan To Debut at Auto Expo
The new audio system features MapMyIndia GPS, touchscreen and voice commands
The center console for both cars features a Harman developed infotainment system.
Under the hood, there is a tweaked suspension system and should offer better ride quality as well as dynamics.
Another big change is the adoption of an electric power steering that comes in place of the Vista’s hydraulic unit. The EPS system, developed by ZF, is said to improve ease of use and should also bring with it small gains in efficiency.
Petrol engine for both cars is Tata’s in-house 1.2 revotron turbo petrol engine with almost 84 bhp (5000 rpm) and 140 Nm of torque (1750-3500 rpm)
Diesel duties will be take care of by the Fiat source 1.3 Multijet diesel
Transmission options will include the new automated manual transmission (AMT), called F-tronic
On the inside, the Bolt and Zest get fresh-new interiors. Dash is brand new too with a two tone scheme. Space, like all Tata cars is a USP.

The sedan comes with day-time running lights up front, but the hatchback Bolt doesn’t have them.
Zest is a sub 4-meter sedan. The overall design is nice, but could have been neater and sorted.
LED tail lamps look nice on both cars
The two new cars are just a precursor to Tata’s ambitions to try and make itself a more premium car maker.
Both the cars are identical till the rear door. Comprehensive restyling has been carried out.
Aggressive front styling, sharp front bumper, new grille, and striking headlamps.
Here is a holographic representation of the Zest sedan’s interior
Zest features the recently unveiled 1.2 liter Revotron engine, and the Automated Manual transmission, what Tata Motors, preder calling F-tronic transmission. Tata Motors claim that the car features a segment first EPAS, really?
The cars can stream maps from phone to screen which is a touch-screen panel. It can read out messages too. Quite an advanced infotainment system
And here is the Bolt hatchback – what do you think about the design, guys
Here is the Zest sedan
The new cars will herald Tata Motors new design language
All-new interior / dashboard with flowy design – new colors, textures, patters and materials
Bold Hatchback and Zest get projector headlamps / LED tail-lamps
Zest Features AMT transmission, LED DRLs, Harman infotainment system and 2 drive modes.
Both Bold hatch and Zest sedan launched. Staye tuned for images.
The Zest (compact sedan) looks quite nice, especially at the reat. Bolt (Hatch) is similar to the Vista, but with more appeal
The Tata Motors Horizonext event has started – Zest compact sedan unveiled. Bolt hatchback to follow.
Tata Motors is organizing a pre-Auto Expo press conference in New Delhi. The company will preview its future cars and technologies at the exclusive press event. The cars and technologies unveiled at the press con will later be exhibited at the 2014 Auto Expo as well. While nothing specific has been said about the products and tech to be showcased, the invite clearly suggests that it will be a multi-product, multi new tech event. We are looking at the unveiling of the Zest (codename Falcon 5) compact sedan, the Bolt hatchback (codename Falcon 4) and the Nexon (earlier rumored as JUMP) compact SUV that we reported about a couple of days back. Tata Motors Zest / Bolt / Nexon should help tata Motors expand its product portfolio in the mainstream segment, which, of late has started looking stagnant. As always, we at Motoroids are covering the event live, and will update with information about the new products with relevant images and tech specs as soon as the event goes underway at 11:30 AM
