Observation Set 2

* The IRVM viewing space is sufficient.

* The rear windshield has small etching of Tiger / Lion & a cub.

* Front seats in XZ+ have no seat back pockets.

* Rear in-cabin roof handle grips get coat hooks.

* The gloss aluminium handle grip on the door pads inside looks elegant and adds style to the contemporary cabin.

* Seat belts are height adjustable in XZ+

* Seats feel comfortable for a medium built person. If the driver's seat is pushed back then too a medium built passenger in rear won't feel much pinch.

* Illuminated dual slate glove box isn't mis-aligned liked Tigor.

* The center console looks really stylish and the buttons feel durable.

* Driver side vanity mirror missing in XZ+

* Nexon gets simple non ribbed roof in contrast gray color with a shark fin antenna & roof rails.

* Roof Lamp has White illumination and the roof console in front houses bluetooth speaker and sunglasses holder.

* Dashboard reflection is not very prominent and the visibility in front is very good all thanks to the big windscreen.

* ICE Display in daytime is much much better than the one in Tigor.

* Nexon Diesel has 6 Speed manual transmission. The gear lever knob isn't the glossy one like Tigor rather its has brushed color finish to it.

Observation Set 3

* ORVM are electrically adjustable in XZ+ but a bit of concern is there in traffic since they are big in size. Viewing space in them is good.

* Rear AC airflow is sufficient enough and the AC slats felt durable but while getting out it might often get hit by the feet of middle passenger.

* The Smart Key Fob has boot opening button separately placed in it apart from follow me home button and lock-unlock button.

* Front 12V charging socket and multiple cubby holes are a welcome move.

Parting Thoughts & Shots of Nexon Diesel Test Drive by me.

* You all might want to see an epic on-road pic: Creta, Brezza & Nexon in one shot. Nexon clearly stood out in terms of design and on-road presence. Of all the 3, Brezza was the most obsolete looking one and I don't say it because I am often critical of MSIL rather it was Brezza that actually felt boring in front of Nexon & Creta.

* How Reporter Saab felt satisfied to the "T". There is a pic for that too. CITY, Nexon & HEXA forming a T[lol]

* Maintenance Schedule already updated in Nexon Discussion Thread today.

* How soon will the Nexon Diesel take CITY's place! Well................[;)]

Great TD review.

Just as a feedback, If it was a planned shot then IMHO it was a useless pic. 3 cars showing their side profile would have been the best.....
Well wasn't a planned click bud. It so happened that these 2 stopped by my TD Car's side while waiting at a long signal. I just took the shot considering they are the contenders of the same segment. Rest nothing in specific. Just for fun. Sometimes one should do some useless things for fun, whole life is there to do the useful things!

If it was not a planned shot then I guess nothing could have been done in any case, :D. Just that you got a lucky shot of the 3 becomes more worthwhile, [;)]

Superb Reviews by Roy & Akash! Thanks guys.
After reading the reviews and watching countless youtube review videos (Yes my girl asked me how many dozen more i'll watch!?) Here are a few points to ponder/ discuss about. My keen eyes and perfectionist brain is looking for some answers.

1. There's some innovative smart band to unlock the car but it does not show time. So has tata given only 1 key and 1 smart band? or proper 2 keys?

2. There's annoying "Sport mode Engaged" Aunty voice when changing modes. Can this be turned off?

3. The car has some Insane BHP/Tonne and Torque/tonne figures. Often beating much powerful SUVs and sedans. How does it translate in performance? Now many reviewers covered till 80~90 KMPH, How about 130+ KMPH, and whats top speed?

4. Any talks on FE?

5. There are a much too small umbrella holders provided. So tata provides ultra small umbrellas for them?

6. The rear AC unit is just ac is just a fan blower and not proper condenser coil (AC cooler). Is that true. If so how does it compare to proper condenser units of i10 Grand/ Xcent etc.

7. Is there offfline GPS inbuilt?

8. Leather seats option in top trim?

9. There are talks about extremely thick A & C pillars (C pillar is as thick as an elephant's foot). Driveablity in rush traffic?

10. Can rev cam be utilized when forward driving?

11. Redline is unmarked in both engines. So whats the max revvs?

Ya it can be because in my TD car it was muted when I asked the SA upon changing the mode from CITY to Sports.

4. Any talks on FE?
My bad luck is so good that the MID pic of FE got darn blurred but I remember the FE showing about 16.xx km/L and during my TD the AC was ON and I drove in traffic.

5. There are a much too small umbrella holders provided. So tata provides ultra small umbrellas for them?
In the display car that I saw sometime back, it had an umbrella too.

9. There are talks about extremely thick A & C pillars (C pillar is as thick as an elephant's foot). Driveablity in rush traffic?
I drove today in traffic and visibility while driving and turning wasn't an issue as such. No major blind spots due to A-Pillars.

Instrument console shared between petrol & diesel since Tiago (could even be Bolt/Zest). Needle turns red upon hitting redline, hopefully someone checks that and shares the RPMs of redline.
Looks like you have an eye on this car, planning on getting one? [;)]

Actually my wife liked it more than me.
And yes, if those BHP/TON figures translate into zippy performance, I will get it after few months. [glasses]

Thank you, everyone, for appreciating my little review. I experienced the car for not more than 15-20mins total. So, it is actually impossible to comment on every aspect of this car. Mr. Aakash did an excellent job adding more insight to my review. Thank you for that. The only point of his review that I would like to comment is "braking". I actually found the braking quite adequate. I applied the brake on a graveled road surface and the ABS kicked in due time and the braking was quite smooth. The difference between our opinion may be due to some calibration differences between two vehicles.
