Based on the new IMPACT design language, Tata Motors had launched three new cars – Tiago, Tigor and Nexon. With the IMPACT design language entering its next phase with the Harrier and Altroz, Tata Motors will update their existing line-up to this new design language.

This means all Tata cars which are currently on sale, will be updated in the coming months to IMPACT 2.0 design language. Earlier this month, spy shots of the Tiago facelift had been spied in Pune. Now, spy shots of Nexon have emerged on the internet.

The spy shots were captured by automotive enthusiast Dennis Kalyana in Chandigarh, while the cars were being off-loaded from a trailer. Most likely, these test mules are heading up north, for high altitude and cold weather testing in the Himalayas. Along with exteriors, interiors too are expected to be updated. Interiors of the test mules were covered.

Tata Nexon gets two new safety features [Video]

The Tata Nexon has received two new safety features in order to comply with the upcoming Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP) norms. The two key safety features added are a seat belt reminder warning system for the passenger seat, and a speed warning.

While the seat belt reminder is a visible warning on the instrument cluster, the speed warning has both visual and audible alerts. Notably, the audible alerts can’t be turned off, and an ECU remap will be needed to eliminate this warning. The video will give you an idea on how this warning system works.

Read:
This speed warning system one of the major reasons I'm not going for Brezza. I want to stay away from any car that dictates what is safe for me and what isn't. A fatal accident can happen even at a speed if 60 kmph. On an expressway such as Mumbai-Pune or Taj Noida, it's not at all advisable to fool around in fast lane if your speed is below 120 kmph. Even buses are doing speeds in excess of 100 kmph on those expressways.

Tata Nexon’s new TVC highlights the SUV’s 5 star Global NCAP crash safety rating [Video]

The Tata Nexon is the only mass market vehicle in India to bag a 5 star crash test rating from Global NCAP and Tata Motors is going all out to highlight this fact about the sub-4 meter compact SUV. The automaker has released another TVC that shows how safe the Tata Nexon is. This TVC comes at a time when competition for the Nexon has increased manyfold, and has actually pushed it down by two places in the compact SUV pecking order. Both the Mahindra XUV300 and Hyundai Venue are now ahead of the Nexon in terms of monthly sales, and the Tata SUV is down to fourth place, from the second place it was occupying for many months before the likes of the XUV300 and Venue were launched in the Indian sub-4 meter compact SUV market. Time then to watch the latest TVC.

Checkout the Tata Nexon Aero Editon on Video

NExon-aero.jpg

Tata launched the Aero Edition kits for the Nexon sub-4 meter SUV at the Delhi Auto Expo last year. The Aero Edition kits included four different exterior / interior kit that customers can purchase from the showrooms. Later on, Tata came up with a customisation option named ‘Imaginator’ for the Nexon through which buyers could customize their ride as per their preferences online. The video below by Power Stroke PS shows one such similar Tata Nexon SUV that has been configured using the Imaginator tool.

As seen in the video, this Nexon has received a host of changes both on the outside as well. Painted in white with red and black detailing, the paint detailing on this Nexon cost around Rs. 2,000 according to the video. The Aero kit, when it was launched, was brought in three levels. This one here seems to be equipped with level three kit. It gets various special additions like illuminated front grille badge, illuminated door sills and custom upholstery among others.

Tata Nexon’s 5 star safety rating gets a hilarious new ad

nexon-safety-2.jpg

Back in December last year, the Tata Nexon became India’s first car to achieve a perfect 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP safety tests. The sub-4 meter SUV received 16.06 points out of 17, which was the highest score achieved by any car ever made in India at that time. Other manufacturers have also started taking safety more seriously and have started equipping their cars with basic safety features apart from focusing on a more stable structure. The government has also churned out a slew of mandates in a bid to make passenger vehicles much more safer. Tata recently released a TVC which highlights the Nexon’s 5-star safety rating in a hilarious manner. Take a look at the video below by ashish katariya which shows a quirky yet hilarious Nexon TVC.

Nexon saves passengers after a huge hoarding falls on it: Tata Motors makes safety ad on it [Video]

Tata Nexon became India’s first-ever car to get a perfect 5-star rating. In fact, it is currently the only five-star rated, made-in-India car by the G-NCAP. There are many Tata customers who have written testimonials about the strongly build Nexon and many other Tata cars. In of such incidents, a huge hoarding fell over the Tata Nexon. The result? Well, here is a video to show that.

The incident took place in Dehradun earlier this year. During a thunderstorm, high-speed winds caused a big advertisement hoarding to tumble and fall. Incidentally, the Tata Nexon was parked right under the billboard and there were occupants inside the vehicle too.

Planing to buy a diesel nexon (im interested in diesel engine), but my daily running is very less please suggest me. monthly 600 kms approx my vehicle will run.
You can safely buy diesel Nexon. I myself am an owner of one Xz+. My running is less too. No issues. Modern engines are robust. Diesel engine has the punch which petrol lacks. Go ahead and buy with confidence. No worries at all.
