Re: Tata Nano – To Its Best
1. Agreed. The other day I pulled up the wiper to clean the glass and whoa, I get the shock of my life. A line of the wiper rubber was stuck on the glass. ![Frustration [frustration] [frustration]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Frustration.gif)
2. I haven't faced that issue yet. Keeping my fingers crossed though.
3. Hope the quality of the rims better now. After all TATA have made a lot of improvement post customer feedback.
4. The current glove box of Nano Twist does the job well. Not many cars have 2 glove boxes.
5. Rear 3 point selt belt is what I really miss.
6. The car was built was for city drives. It does its job well.
7. Old generation people don't look down Nano. I have seen people in their 50s driving Nano.
8. One more thing I really miss is child safety lock.
Nano owners are the one who who want a trouble free car. IMO, there is a gamble in buying used cars. I didn't want to buy a used car as if it starts to give trouble, I will spend up more time and money on FNG rather than enjoying the car. Price of Alto 800 is almost 50% higher than Nano Twist. There are many like me who want a car but still don't want to blow their monthly budget. I know somewhere down the heart that Nano AMT will be a hit as it will act as a second car as well for many homes.
Frankly speaking "Rahul" you and me both were know that nano will not sell in high numbers. Basically TATA itself and their ASS staff is behind the slow moving not failure of nano success. If you are adding a boot opening after 5 years of presence in the market which is obsessed with 5 door car (primary a status symbol) and some use too. Very small overhang many of my friends told me it will be good if the bonnet is some longer you know whom car I am comparing to.
Can it go 80? yes till 105- hahaha you must be joking, Car X can go easily beyond 120. basic conversation with few chaps leave that apart.
Now comes to cost cutting, may be they have changed in newer versions but mine not too old 2012
1. I am fed-up with wiper arm and blade quality too cheap.
2. Brakes makes squealing sound if drove with eagerness.
3. Rim are very light(conversation with wheel balancing mechanic in the TASS) got bend of my both cars, primary reason for alignment goes bad after few pots.
4. Glove box(don't compare the after market fix with integrated one) still not present after 5 years.
5.Rear 3 point seat belt(I am sure you also miss them)
6. Small size(nothing to do with me) for those whom a car is status not utility.
7. People like to drive with sitting on engine and this car has it behind, why? you know what I mean here.
