Sai ,
did you get your nano tail lights and front indicators smoked by getting them spray painted ? or is there any other trick in your book for getting them black ?

i got them covered by black sticker from the radium shop , the problem is light cannot pass through and people driving behind me will not know when i may make a turn !! UGH !!!! .

and about the air filter mod that you did , are you seeing any difference with the new pod ? i reckon that your nano is much responsive now , is this correct , i was planing to get an after market air filter installed my self .

and also the left rear view mirror , i tried all shops no luck , i think i will have to buy it from TATA ,
how much did you pay for it ?

rear tail lights are paint smoked, front ones are kind of special sticker , looks similar to sunfilm but thicker than that. its 3M.
filter MOD. i wanna change the AF , but the manufacture couldn't be reached! will switch to K&N or stock very soon.
rear view mirror, it was 750rs some 2 years back. it is good to buy the genuine one from TATA Accessories

i have TD the twist . its superb . except the EPS all others are same with the 2013 nano. PS is very responsive and superb driving feel. EPS will be good for easy reversing IMO.
about the back tyre , i too wanna switch to 165/60/r12 bridgestone potenza g3. the tyre dealers are saying there will not be any problem but im not sure with the setup.

Hi Shibu, I keep visiting this thread to see the mods and how well you are making the mods.

It is really wonderful for having your Nano listed on the official Tata website. I wonder if Tata can give you a badge or something that you can out on your Nano and show-off.

I have a query regarding the impact of the mods, especially stickering on insurance. I remember reading some post wherein, the insurance company had caused problem because the car had stickers on the hood and other parts. Do you have any idea regarding this?

i have no idea about this insurance thing. we renew insurance through an agent who is my dad's friend. my insurance company in united India. i havent heard any issues with this company so far. and for my nano , total loss amount is 90k only. [cry]

i just came back from a 360 km round trip , my nano gave avg 25 kmpl (with 15% AC) , i love this machine , i did notice that i had to keep the steering steady despite of all new tyres (front Ceat and rear JK) balanced and wheel aligned ,

@ Sai / anyone , i am planning to paste a few yoga mats inside my car to eat the distortion and reduce incabin noise , has that worked for you ?
please let me know the locations to paste these mats , i am planning to cover all the rear passenger compartment and engine bay
, any recommendations where to buy em and what config to use ? like 6 mm or 4 mm etc

under body coat

I got 3M under body anti rust coating for my nano and observed that the sound inside the car reduced quite a bit.

I guess yoga mats will help reduce it further. Please post detailed pics when you are done with the posting, I might try out the same.

Shibu, regarding the insurance, I heard that in case of some incident, insurance company may reject claim as the car has been modified with stickers.

Anybody had idea regarding this?

My nano in due for insurance in a month. I had opted for Tata aig. They are giving 20% discount as no claim bonus. Is it generally the same for others or can we bargain for more?

How much did they charge you for the anti-rust? I haven't done it on my 2 year old Nano yet. Is it really worth having the anti-rust done, that too after that period?
Cabin noise is something which even I would like to reduce.
