Nexon sells 10,287 units in July 2021. That is the first time for a Tata Brand to sell in 5 figures after a very very long time. Nexon upping the safety quotient and with all Bells and Whistles plus safety has struck the right chords with the market. this is evident with the sales. Started slow but now almost in the good competition for the second place in Sub4M suv Segment. Great Job Tata.

Incidentally Nexon finds itself in the top 10 sold vehicles. Brezza leads the sub4m CSUV segment with 12,676 units and second placed nexon just under 2K units shy of the leader. there were days when the suzuki used to sell 3-4 times of the second placed OEM and commanded over 50% market share. This has definitely come down. Hope the homegrown OEM is able to sustain this momentum for the Brand Nexon.

Tata motors sells 28018 units (52% YoY growth)
The better part is Tata sells 1022 Units of EV. Ev share is close to 4% of total wholesales.
So far the over all market was doing around 800-900 units, Tata alone have surpassed 1000 unit barrier. With TigorEV launched things should get better for Tata.

With the launch of PUNCH the numbers will add another 7k and TIGOR EV another 1.5k to the tally in a couple of months taking the numbers to 37-40k. It will surely close on Hyundai Motors.

I am considering PUNCH for my mom as ingress-egress will be easy for aged people, the same reason many people buy the WAGON-R/SANTRO. So finally WAGON-R is due to get a competition.

After PUNCH, TATA should concentrate on 7seater space. As of now only 7 seater is Safari. A 7 seater PUNCH should be planned as it can be easily derived rather making a new structure from ground up on ALFA architecture.

Also TATA should plan an all new SUMO a shortened version of Harrier with almost no over hangs with all time 4X4 with low range transfer in 3 door and 5 door versions should be planned to take on Mahindra's THAR. As ot will be a monocoque chassis and will be agile and lighter, will be a hit among enthusiasts.

Tata Altroz Reaches New Production Milestone Of 100,000 Units In India

The Tata Altroz premium hatchback has achieved a new production milestone in India, crossing the 1,00,000 units mark. The 1,00,000th Altroz was rolled out of the company's manufacturing facility in Pune. Tata Motors points out that the company was able to achieve this production milestone within 20 months of the car's market launch, despite all the challenges and restrictions due to Covid-19. While Tata has not shared the booking numbers for the Altroz, sources in the know have said that it is higher than the current production numbers.

Tata Motors Invests ₹ 700 Crore In A New EV Division

Tata Motors has invested ₹ 700 crore in a new wholly-owned subsidiary to develop and manufacture electric vehicles (EVs). The company has formed a new division - Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML) and received the certificate of incorporation from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on December 21. It goes without saying that as of now Tata Motors will be the only promoter of TPEML since it holds 100n per cent share capital in the EV unit. In a BSE filing, the carmaker said that TPEML has been incorporated with an authorised capital of 70,00,00,000 equity shares of ₹ 10 each which equals to ₹ 700 crore.

  • Tata has grown at an impressive 94% YoY Volumes, when the industry has grown over close to 27%.
  • Market share of share increasing to double digits at 10.8% an increase of close to 4% shows how well the OEM has performed. OEM emphatically established itself as a No. 3 OEM in the second year running, this time though, with margin of over 1L over the nearest rival
  • 5 Star rated cars Nexon, Punch and Altroz coupled with 4 Star rated, Tigor, Tiago and TigorEV have establish Safety as an Saleable USP for the OEM.
  • Riding highon the success of Safety the OEM has managed to outperform the market.
  • Safety rating of the Flagships products the Safari and Harrier is still unknown.
  • Nexon outperformed with over 32% share in Over all yearly figures for the OEM. Over 1L units of Nexon was sold in Calender year with monthly Average of over 9000 units sold.
  • Altroz with 21% share sold close to 70K units at an monthly average of 5800 units
  • Tiago with 20% share sold approx 65K units at a monthly average of 5400 units
  • Harrier at no 4 with 8% share sold over 28K units at monthly average of 2300 units
  • Newly launched Punch in its just 3 months of sales have claimed 7% share and sold over 22K units and averging at 7500 units (over 3 month period)
  • Tigor pipping Safari by just 600 units sells 18900 units
  • Safari flagship and costliest Tata on sale managed to sell over 18K copies in its 11 month period at an impressive average of 1600 units.

The home-grown automaker, Tata Motors has announced launching its new and refreshed range of passenger vehicles in Bhutan. Samden Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., who is the authorised distributor for Tata Motors in Bhutan, will take care of the sales and service of the entire line-up, which includes - the facelifted Tiago and Tigor, the Altroz, Nexon facelift, Harrier, and the company's new flagship SUV, the Safari. Prices for the entire range starts at Nu. 7.34 Lakh ( ₹ 7.36 lakh), while the flagship Safari is priced from Nu. 24.42 lakhs ( ₹ 24.48 lakh).

Tata motors celebrate Blockbuster 2022. January Sales at 40,777 units. Probably the first time Tata motors have crossed 40K mark, Incidently they have sold close to 3000 EVs (2892) units of EV which is close to ICE Sales for few established OEMS

Overall Tata Motors have sold over 72K vehicles

Some Highlights of the Jan 2022 Blockbuster sales:

– Highest ever monthly sales of 40,777 units (since inception)
– Highest ever SUV sales of 28,108 units
– Highest ever EV sales of 2892 units
– Punch and Nexon both crossed monthly sales of 10,000 units
– Overwhelming response to CNG, over 3000 units sold in January 2022
– CNG penetration at 42% of Tiago and Tigor overall sales achieved in the first month of launch

Tata Motors has set-up “Anubhav” doorstep showrooms for rural customers to increase the reach in Tehsils and Talukas.

Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive brand, today introduced ‘Anubhav,’ showroom on wheels, a door step car buying experience for the rural customers. In line with its rural marketing strategy, this initiative will help increase reach in Tehsils and Talukas, which have high potential in terms of rural population, and economy. A total of 103 mobile showrooms are being deployed across the country, to enhance the Tata Motors brand awareness in rural India. These mobile showrooms will help existing dealerships to offer a doorstep sales experience to customers and assist them with information about the New Forever range of cars & SUVs, accessories, avail finance schemes, book a test drive and evaluate existing cars for exchange.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. said, “We are delighted to commence the Anubhav Initiative. This is a significant step towards taking the brand to the hinterland and making our New Forever range of cars & SUVs more accessible while reducing our dependability on the traditionally followed model of a brick-and-mortar facility. With the expertise of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Fully Built Vehicles (FBV) Division, the Anubhav – Showroom on Wheels has been developed on the very reliable, Tata Intra V10. These mobile showrooms will be operated by dealerships under Tata Motors’ supervision and guidance. All the dealerships will define monthly routes for these vans on which they will ply and cover the targeted village or tehsil. These mobile showrooms come equipped with GPS trackers to monitor the movement for better utilisation.
