Re: Tata Aria Undergoes Another Price Revision: Now Starts @ Rs.8.95 Lakh!

According to the car and bike show on NDTV-SVP-all variants of the New Scorpio will come with Airbags and ABS as optional.
I welcome the price cut on the Aria, but as AMG mentions that works out to 10L on the road with no basic safety features. True the Innova base does not have this ,but the Innova has already captured the heart of the Indian buyer-so this could be overlooked-not so the Aria!
Sadly though most Aria owners (most) do not seem to keep their vehicles for too long-not the best sign of confidence in putting so much $ in for a vehicle. The innova seems to have only loyal fans!

Re: Tata Aria undergoes another price revision: Now starts @8.95 lakh rupees

This seems tobe the new scorpio affect along with to get the masses of cab operators to opt for this vehicle.
Even before this price cut there were quite few arias seen on road specially pure variant and now again with price cut can hope to see more numbers getting sold by Tata.
More the cab operators will be attracted to this vehicle, more & more individual buyers will stay away from this vehicle including higher variants. Nobody (I mean most, as per one thread) wants to see his vehicle as taxi vehicle.

Aria became more affordable now.

A 10+ lakh OTR car that doesnt come with ABS in its base variant?

Thanks, but no thanks.
Other cars in 10L band with ABS never came with this space.

A premium vehicle launched with the price tag of 19L getting sold at 9L lost its charm from the market other then fleet operators.

I think its right time for TaMo to call it a day for Aria, the sales never picked up despite of all good efforts, its waste of resources and loss of money at end of day.
Hope they launch other models to compensate.

No need to dump it[:)] dump the Aria designers and get the strome designers to redesign the front leave Indica lines behind and go forward with time .
Aria is a complete package good indeed very good package with a ugly design .

The Aria is a wonderful architectural marvel as far as automotive in India in concerned. Well, the pricing disaster is one thing surely gone absurd.

Now they need to give a new innings to the ARIA. TATA Motors should follow the rekindling just al-a, Zest. This can retain the body, but create a whole new car using this architecture.

Remember, Aria then was considered a modular Monoque body platform to create more vehicles, but the failure has shocked them so much so that they could not think further. I am sure TATA Motors are it.

Any idea how much if the mid variant - pleasure now?

Is Aria as much of a write off as commented above - it appears no one will want it even for free? Or is it the unreliable servicing that is the concern?

Re: Tata Aria Undergoes Another Price Revision: Now Starts @ Rs.8.95 Lakh!

Tata Aria price unchanged, not cut by Rs 1 lakh.

Tata Motors has confirmed to Rushlane that Aria price has not been slashed by Rs 1 lakh. It continues to be priced at Rs 9.95 lakhs, as earlier

Some blogs reported that the price of Tata Aria MUV have been slashed by Rs 1 lakh. Speaking with Tata Motors on the same, it was revealed that there is no such news. When asked about the graphic image (see above), Tata Motors said that it was a dealer offer, for a limited period in Bangalore, which was not supposed to be publicized. This confirms that Tata Aria price continues to be Rs 9.95 lakhs, ex showroom.

ROFL!

Sudden twist of events... If it was a dealer promotion, why is there no dealership name or publicity on that image?

Anyways, we have no reason to not trust TATA Motors.

Aria has aged quickly and similarity in design to Indica/Indigo made it less premium. This was actually a competent vehicle (baring exterior design) at the time of launch but prices ruined it. Prices were revised later many times, but since it aged quickly it felt outdated to many buyers thus did not succeed.

Good catch. Looking at the promotion, it looks like a OEM brochure. Dealer can hardly come up with such advertisement without support from OEM.

Re: Tata Aria Road Test Drive Review

Now Aria's price is further slashed starting at 8.95 lakh!!! Its a mouth watering deal. All 4 disc brakes still retained, dual a/cs too retained!!!
Looks like you directly jumped here without going through earlier posts [;)]
Tata has confirmed that this is not company official offer but a offer by dealer (questionable though!)

Re: Tata Aria Road Test Drive Review

its nothing new. Those discounts are said to be given by the dealers. Company compensates them.

The RTOs dont let the discounts on the ex showroom price. Company has to declare the price. Then the road tax and insurance is calculated on that. In ARIAs case 9.95 laks. Any discounts given are on not on 9.95 laks, but on the on road price. Ie 11.9 laks.

SO ARIA will cost 11.9 lacks - the discount of 1 laks.
