Thanks Dharmesh, we will do a good meet this time either in Mumbai or in Pune, one thing is clear that the kind of initiation is lacking in both these places unlike south guys[;)]

It was a great day for me, I met senior members, good friends, auto enthusiasts, & car crazy people. I was totally surprised by the energy levels, interest & pure bigheartedness of all the members.

My views
AR Ram - Sir, I am a big fan of your Octavia, you have tonnes of knowledge & decades of experience in cars. Guys did you know his list of cars from beginning is quite big, I will type here a few -

Herald (yes you read it right)
Lancer
Esteem Diesel
Contessa
Standard
Octavia
& many more..
You name a car, he knows whats good & not so good about it. He even owned cars in the gulf & ever since he's in deeeeep love with cars. Thank you for showing your driving experience on snow filled roads. His future plans of driving to NEPAL & BHUTAN is truly fantastic.

Sethu - One of our dearest friends, drove all the way from Chennai with his Son & Sparky, with a million watt smile. I was troubling him with a long handshake, not allowing to complete his breakfast[lol]. Our South Indian Meet Co-ordinator, friendly crciketer & of course he has immense sense of humor.

RK (Guralla74) - Thank you for making yourself free & travelling so far for the meet. You are in the process of making an ALL INDIA TAI meet for sure & we are with you whenever you plan for one. Your timing of jokes are simply superb.

Dhaya (CoolDhaya)- Superb ride, drool stuff indeed. Humble & silent person.

Ram (Rekharam) -
Thank you for making it all the way till Jain Farms, despite your busy schedule. Next meet be with us for the whole day. I need a TD of your car too.

Sujeet (Sooz_Punto) -
A big thanks for the BLAST (a very fast TD) in your Punto. I really loved every bit of your car, Being a FIAT devotee, Punto is nothing less than heaven, you own it (congrats). I liked the way have maintained the interiors & first time I saw the air vents below driver seat. Wow what a feature, Italians are really master minds. Next time, I will take the driving seat of your car & may not give back.

Visran - Welcome back friend, what a time did we have at the pool. I am happy to see back in good health. Waiting to see your Manza.

Varun (thegreatv) - Very nice alloys, humble person by nature. I too feel your car needs the body skirts, it will be a killer with it.

Karthik - Karthik your driving is very much inspired from Go-karting. Very difficult to click a pic of you when you are driving.

Girish - Your latest upgrades - new michelins with new steering column is a heaven of its own. The car hardly has any road noise. Steering is very much like Power steering. You have spent on the right things, thanks for the ride.

Varun - My DIY guru, your ride is the show stopper, the benchmark for all Maruti 800's. That off roading pic was too cool.

Vishwas - Thanks for the ride in your car, get the booster replaced asap I think your car is as good as a new one, clean interiors & exteriors. Cant believe two year old Bangalore car has no dents! Our super friendly moderator too has good sense of humor

Vinoth (Appu) - Thank you for joining us despite your busy schedule & the infinity speakers were fantastic.

Santosh & Serrao - Santhosh we need to take more swimming lessons from "ZENandenfield"Sir. We had our own time trying every possible swimming technique lol. Serrao - Your Alto K10 looks fantastic without wheel caps, dont add them at all. The sunlight copper colour too looks good.

Gokul (HolySatan) - Committed photographer, a bit silent though.

Zenandenfield - I respect your values & opinions on everything we spoke, you are a role model for swimmers. I missed a TD of your ride.

Prasnna (Pras) - The bullet of our TAI meet, what a thumping ride. Your automotive spirits are truly an inspiration. I know to ride bullets, but considering my physic, I felt it would be too risky to attempt on your loved one.

Figoian - You too are a good swimmer, loved that FERRARI RED T-shirt you wore. We'll meet up soon for sure, anyway we stay quite close.

Hope I have not missed anyone. Few more pics from my side

Re: TAI Mega meet at Hosur with Chennai-Vellore-Banglore-Hyderadad Members

Its me !! Again. Nice to meet you.

I am not writing any thing about members, but I have got many ideas from seeing all the cars !

Sethu Sir's Spark - The gear shift is so smooth I can't even imagine that !
Next time I am steal it ! [lol]Even the engine was so smooth, Ah the DIY speaker wiring, please get a new plank and install the speakers sir.

AR Ram Sir's Skoda- Sir the ICE in your car is cool ! That too 2 HU's I was surprised so see that. One question how do you maintain it when you give the car for service ?

Sujith's Punto - The A/C vents below the front seat, wow what a feature. Also the door weight and the way it closes. Main surprise was the key yes the key !

Subbu's Figo - The dashboard's combination was nice, black with silver on ac vents. It was neatly polished. I wish you get the rear power windows soon ! I can help you with it (DIY).

All 800's, Zen (Girish, Karthik) - As usual I am more inclined towards 800 yes 800's. They were tastefully modified. Girish also did a bit of off roading too ! [lol]. Could not see the Zen much, but from the outside it seams to be well maintained for a 15+ year old car.

Appu's Vista - Ah the speakers ! It was nothing less than Sub. Appu I suggest you to get a amp and power it. As I could hear some distortion at high volumes. Also get alloys soon, the wheel caps spoil the looks.

Roshan's Alto - It was clean, the seat covers were cool. I wish you could have used the same material on the door pads so that it would give a rich look. Also get back the wheel caps.

Varun's Swift - What to say ! Alloys were cool, spoiler looks as OEM fitting. Now comes the ICE & damping, the trunk\ hatch door closes automatically due to the weight for which the damping was added. The polk sub was superb. We had some testing too ! Please get body kit, the only thing missing.

Vishwas's Alto - The ICE was cool, I could not hear the song except the BOOM BOOM, bass effect from the sub. AC was good never expected in alto. Looks like it has come out from the show room doesn't look like 2 years old !

Dhaya's Jetta - Could not see much, but the boot is so big that it can accommodate 3 people. I wonder how you keep those beige seat and door fabric clean !

Ram's Accent - As usual clean and neat ! He showed a new dent, a broken bumper. Hope you get that back in shape. Also get the automatic Radio areal !

Prashanth's Enfield - The horns were too big ! I guess they were red grills. All the chrome parts were shinning, the battery was so huge, never seen it before !

Sorry if I have missed anything.
Thank you Varun560061. I had a nice time with you too.

I give my car for service only at Vision Skoda, Thrissur, Kerala (Skoda Authorised Service Center). And I know all the guys there in the work shop, and they always give a special attention on my car, besides, I will be near the vehicle also.

Thank you ss80, Yes I have a big passion towards vehicles right from childhood, no matter whether it is a two or four wheeler

The history is like this.
Early 70s : My school days, my father bought a Raleigh Cycle for me, which was very popular those days. And even in that I was doing modifications.
Mid 70s : Got a lambretta scooter in my college days, and I was looking after it so well.
When I got my first job : I bought a Standard Herald
1978: I went to Gulf, Within 6 months I got my Gulf driving license and very next day I bought a used Datsun 180B
1980: I bought a new Mitsubishi Galant
1982: bought a Chevy Impala
1984; back to India ; HM Ambassador , Yezdi classic
1985: Ind-suzuki
1986: Contessa with HM engine
1987: Standard/Rover 2000 and later converted into diesel with Nissan engine
1991: Contessa Classic with Isuzu engine
1998: Maruti Esteem, and later converted into diesel with Toyota turbo engine
2001: Mitsubishi Lancer Glxd
2005: My lovely Octavia

According to me and my experience, German engineering is the best in terms of durability, reliability, stability and safety. But I found more comfort on American vehicles (the bigger ones).

Am i late for the party? Well here it goes!
I will keep it short and simple. First of all thank you all for making it a wonderful meet and a wonderful weekend. I wont go into detail of describing each person because of lack of patience! [embarass]
A salute to Sethu sir, Dhaya and Appu for driving all the way from Chennai/Vellore and making it to the meet. As for Gurrala74 (RK sir) - the host of the meet, i dont have any words to say! Just awesome! [clap]
About the members who attended the meet it was good to see a variety of people in terms of experience! Ram sir the highlight of the meet was and will always be an inspiration to all of us! [thumbsup]
As for the other members everyone were friendly and never felt uncomfortable anywhere. We got along so well that it felt we knew each other from a long time!

@thegreatV,

Thank you for the complements, but it could have not a success story without all of you guys, so I am more thankful to all who made it for the meet.

It is something like a gain and a loss for me[;)] the gain is the meet and the loss is my personal trip with my family to coorg or similar place as they have also planned that on 27th and 28th and I could not make it for them and we kept on fighting each other(me and my wife) while coming back to Hyderabad on that and I need to compensate for the same with something like(a small gold ornament, few uncomfortable trips to my wife's relatives soon[cry][lol])

I got few snaps that I am up loading

1. Herald - I don't have the original pic - the one is downloaded from net, mine was a white one

2. Datsun 180B - file photo downloaded, mine was red colour

3. Mitsubishi Galant - The Original photos, and its me in the pic. and my younger days

4. Chevy. Impala - file photo downloaded, Mine was a light blue car

5. Standard/Rover 2000 - file photo downloaded. Mine was same colour, and converted from petrol to diesel

5. Maruti Esteem - It was white colour and changed to Pearl Silver, and converted from petrol to diesel

6. Mitsubishi Lancer - AR Ram the original

7. Early 90s I bought a Leyland Chassis and built bus body and running as stage carriers (2Nos.). The worst decision I ever made in my life. In the pic. is one of the buses, taken to the temple for pooja after body building and before regn.

8. Contessa - it was cream colour and later made it into red. Near are my son and daughter, now he is 29 years and she is 27 years and both are settled.
