Raj- I was looking at the possibilities of our 26Jan meet to pondy as many non KA/TN/AP/KL have not responded.
@Appu- Thanks for the routes. So just confirming, from bang, once we take a left near krishnagiri, you suggest to travel straight onto the Chennai rd?

Yes, you are right. you need to proceed towards Chennai

Thats Great!. So all, What about Pondy as the meet point for this 26th Jan? Accommodation, Food, Fun (with/without families) should also be of no worries.

Pondy would be a good option and I love to be there, but I have already decided to be in Bangalore in those dates with my family, hence I feel it will be a too much of a distance from Bangalore to travel, what do you say !! see something is center for Chennai and Bangalore guys at least which would also less distance for KL people too

Sethu/ Appu/ Raj- Any suggestions? which can be center for TN/KA/KL/AP? How about sultan battery? I guess this close to TN and KL. Any suggestions

Hahahaha, no man family is up to Bangalore only to my BIL's house and from there hopefully I am single, that's why I was looking at some short distance place as I will be driving my car all the way from Hyderabad to Bangalore and again on next day one more long travel will be a tiring one if it is bit a short distance then will be ok and I can join back my family next day and get on to our rest of the plan and official visits as Bangalore too

In the places i have visited wayanad stands first.
Even you see the first pages of this thread my suggestion was wayanad only

That distance too make sense as wayanad is a very beautiful place.

This looks ok to me, just think of thing like if a person starts from a base camp like Bangalore,Chennai or any other place in the morning he should be able to reach the destination before lunch and similar way for the next day if he starts after finishing lunch, he should be back to the base camp by evening

300 Odd Km's with good roads, i guess we can beat it in 4 hrs Max. so even if we start at 7Am, we should reach by lunch. Its the same with Pondy too.

I think we shall freeze the dates and location and avoid further last minute changes and confusion. Who knows maybe there might be last minute additions from AP/KL/MH side , so i think we better stick to our current plan. Boy i can't wait for this meet , even though i don't login here(time constraint , please forgive me) often i read this thread regularly!

OK, Sethu is missing in this thread since some time !! I feel one of the Bangalore friend has to help us with bookings after final count.

Dates are finalised already and lot of our friends from Bangalore yet to confirm for this

Yup, Dhaya is right. We should not stray from the current plan here guys. Not that I don't like any of the suggested places. I believe if we stick to the plan more members might confirm their presence near the meet time.

Rottikallu resort right? I might be able to get the rooms booked, but we do need a close to final count for that. Approximate count so far is 18 (including members and non-members). Once we have a near concrete count, we can book the place. I am travelling next week. Will call them up sometime inbetween and clear the dates. Which all days are we planning to stay in the resort?

For booking the resort, we will keep some cut off date in Dec/Jan to have number count.,

Seriously Mr.Sethu is missing in this thread since some time

Our original plan was on 25th Jan we reach the destination by lunch time and check in to the resorts and have lunch together, then on 26th afternoon after lunch we leave the destination and resort
