What about recently launched MMX canvas HD. I agree brand value may be less. But if you see the spec it is a real VFM

294ppi HD, 5” IPS screen
1.2GHz quad core Cortex A7 processor.
1GB RAM
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
8MP rear camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and a 2MP front camera
video recording 720P @ 30 fps
etc.

and it is priced at INR 13990/-

i am also with you that its the best phone.
but main problem is, due to mmx policies or what so ever, canvas 2 & HD is not available at any local / online store.

not policy but because of chinese new year , production was stopped so that's why these back logs.

seems RK has bitter experience with MMX so he is not going for MMX again. I have also heard some horror stories of MMX customer care. By the way it is available in fabmart.com

At present my thinking is either Galaxy S advanced or Lumia 620/720/520. With 620, I have small problem that it is 3.79" display where as I am comfortable with 4", so how much it will differ in this size or it is very negligible. Why I am asking because I am not comfortable with present 3.2" display for messaging and e-mailing and also for browsing.

congrats it got price listing see i'll still say check the huawei ascend g600 as well. screen is 4.5" as far as i can remember.

another member posted that it's available in stores now so go and check that as well.

and .2" is not that much difference.

it's mentioned launch will be in 2nd week of march so just wait for 5-7 days and you can get it below flipkart's price on any local store.

its got a decent pricing no doubt but how many would go for a 3.79" screen + brick body when 4.3" should be the bare minimum, IMHO 12k would have been a decent price but the premium they are charging is for the W8 experience which i feel is lame. Also the delay would have resulted in many buying other brands/models. not everyone is as patient and layed back as RK.

I agree with both of you, you hardly find a person like me who wait for a mobile phone like this. yes Nokia has lost so many with this delay as I can read this on lot of forums.

Now a information from a online seller which Nitin given the link of S advanced with some great price yesterday. I have checked with that seller DBM of Gurgoan and he confirms me that this S advanced comes with 16gb internal memory in the specs it says 8/16gb.

So now tell, me with that price offered for S advanced and preorder price of Lumia 620 which is again 3.79". Is it wise to wait till 2nd week and take a call ??

Already I am on my toes now in terms of patience and waiting. Yes I have already checked S advanced in flesh and it looks really good, I will check that Huewai personally in stores.

Gurrala, I suggest you to wait to try 620 as you waited much for it. And if you don't like it, simply go get the S Advance.
And yes, buying online is good if its a good deal.


Edit: Actual price will be more or less the same than the pre order price.

S advance is a old handset launched year or before by samsung,
better buy something thts new with such hot market every manufacturer wants to give best they can.
