Re: Suggest a New Android Phone Around 15k

It is the strategy of all phone companies.
They do not want to provide upgradeability in their phones for future updates in the OS.
so with every OS update , your phone will be an extinct breed.
By this way you would be induced into upgrading your phone to a new phone far more frequently.

So if you keep on waiting, for the next phone, chances are you would be kept waiting for long.
So for those who do not Care about updates, get a phone and stop worrying.
You have bought a depreciating asset.
Live with it.
Else buy a direct import phone from bidding on ebay Us.
Use it for a month and sell it for a profit locally and buy the latest one then using the same method.

I agree with both of you as this is the first time I am waiting for something so long, the reason is

I would like to have a windows 8 instead of 7.5 or 7.8. I want an affordable phone with 1GHZ processor and also slot of memory card. But that news is really confusing [confused]

@Ranger

Specs of 720 are really good and even 620, but a tricky thing is when they are going to be launched[frustration]

this will never end. You will wait for 720 , at that time there will be rumors of other better affordable phone. And as i always say, don't make decision according to specs but your actual need.
Like you want a family car but at the same price you can buy a 2 seater sports car with all those jaw dropping specs. What will you chose, obviously the car meant for the whole family.

I agree with you buddy, but was seriously waiting for a phone with win 8 from Nokia, nothing more to it. Even I am equally frustrated with this wait as it just took one day for me to buy my Ritz diesel[frustration]

Correct!

That's where you would learn to root the phone and upgrade it yourself. Whole India waiting for Jelly Bean 4.1.2 upgrade, I have been on 4.2.1 since long time [:D]. But key here is to get a phone which has enough processing power to get upgraded to higher versions atleast for next 2 years.

ICS and JB are welcom updates, which addressed most of negative stuffs in previous os, previous os is very bad in utilization of cpu and gpu and are very heavy in nature, so ics and jb are made lite and this os is smoother even on low end phones.

I personally waited for lite os so for me ics and jb was a gift from Google, but for my friend it was a mess on his phone so he downgraded it to gb.

Since all this os I mean windows and andriod are still developing to match ios in quality so it better to keep your phone upto date,

But it is ok if you are happy with current os and no need to update, but may be in future all developers produce apps which are compatible to new os only.
