Position A - When driving through rough patches or heavy traffic.

Position B - Most of the time under 60kmph. Now it is a habit to keep one hand on gear. Feels more comfortable. Note: VW Polo TDI requires frequent gear change to keep it in the rev band.

Position C - Never tried this. I guess woman drive this way! [;)]

Position D - Above 60kmph when car needs more control & precaution.

Yesterday I was driving to Chennai for new year party and in the middle some insects were all on my car, smashed and dirty. Then I stopped by a petrol bunk, refilled my car and got water from those people working there in bunk and started cleaning my car right there itself [lol]. I dint know there was an unknown guy in swift who was filling petrol when I was cleaning and he showed thumbs up while leaving [lol].

Removing the HU before giving the car for service so that the nerds at the service centre do not waste my battery to please their ears :agree::stupid:[music]

That is necessary! When i gave my car for service, these fools were happy that the songs in FM was coming so good (Because of my amp and Sub) and kept listening until i went and took the HU off, they were [embarass]ed.

Actually the service advisers themselves take it off. One of the reason they give- their staff may fiddle with it and change the default settings.

During monsoon, I carry the old news papers under the seat. I lay it on the all the mats and change them after every drive if found soiled.. So mats remind clean.
[lol]

I did this for about two months after I bought my UV recently & then got tired. Also sometimes other people are puzzled/perplexed [roll] if they step into a car having newspaper covering on the floor. So just stopped it.

Haha Sam
I do the same
I Normally do this over the weekend. I get the car service in front of my eyes. I make sure the guy uses the engine oil I gave him and does what I want him to do.
When it comes to cars I don't trust anybody.

I took my skyline 55 kms away with worn out clutch to get the excedy HD clutch installed in front of my eyes because others wanted me to leave the car with them for a day.

Maintaining a really looooooong distance behind the vehicle in front when travelling on a dusty patch of road in order to avoid the air filter getting choked:stupid:

+1 Sam. Not only about air filter getting choked, but also not the well cleaned car to get dirty going behind them [lol] I have did this many times too and at times had stopped for a while until the dusts get settled to an extent. Of course not possible when in traffic, but otherwise.
