i didn't know that they alloy you to take pics in the center i can't even see the workplace.

BTW i did not ask anyone's permission. i just went towards the Service area(Im very particular about servicing and wait till my car gets serviced to take it back on same day,a little watch on my car never bothers anyone) and clicked it.Just a bit of sweet talking with the service guys does the trick!!

I dreamed of a Fabia 2 years back, but prices kept me away. Excellent fit and finish every where.

yeah i know i too want to see the car but the adviser take me with him when they change the oil or anything else. it's the guard who says you can't stand here well he follow orders nothing else.

so can you upload the bill of your service ? 8000 seems a little high considering my verna's service after a year costed just 1050 rupees for engine oil and oil filter.
any updates ? likes dislikes ?

The bill would come around 5-6k per service taking my polo's service as reference. The above 8k is including wheel balancing and alignment and may be other components like full washing.

Bill appears reasonable except for cowl top cleaning. These charges are very high @2000/- making the bill to reach 8k. Otherwise its ok.
Have you asked for it or they did it themselves? One must be careful at workshop to ask them to do only those things which are covered under standard service and not to do additional/un-conventional things which costs more than 100 without your permission.

Sorry to miss this. This too is something doesn't look a standard item. Normally brake cleaning and check is done which is not that costly and is part of standard labour.

Seeing the bill I guess it must be a method wherein they squeeze the brake pedal and see if the callipers could print out currency notes for Skoda India.

Even labor charges seems to be pretty costly and I seriously feel that skoda and VW really lose in front of Maruti or TATA for these kind of things

No they are not high. Actually its a free service and if you remove all those un-necessary bits like cowl cleaning and brake testing which are performed due to the ignorance of customer(-3200), charges are justified. Wheel balancing and Alignment is a charged at a normal rate(900) one pays even outside the same rate.
It is not that i am defending the bill but one should be aware of the fact that all this can be done to a ignorant customer at any workshop may it be Maruti or Tata. I know few people in Mumbai who complaint about ripping off at Maruti workshop also. Now a days one need to be vigilant otherwise people will not leave any scope of ripping them off.

So actually service costed only 3800/- which is very cheap keeping in view VW Group standard and the service interval of one year/15k kms.

I am precisely comparing the same segment vehicles services charges. Just try and compare between Ritz, Vista and Fabia service bills then you will notice the different, so why Skoda has to charge more for same kind of things

You are right. Maruti/Tata will always cost cheaper due to 2 reason:
1. Due to large network and low production cost combined with localisation.
2. Any day the part quality will be higher in VW Group car due to the facts that they use common parts for across segment. Like so many fabia/Polo parts are share with Vento/Rapid which almost cost double.
3. Use of synthetic oil instead of mineral one which costs 1/3.

However i read on other forums some testimonials of members who own both VW and MSIL together that cars like Swift etc. also doesn't cost so cheap to maintain.

Still those who are addicted to the pros of VW Group will shell out extra money to enjoy them.
