@ Manoj, I think we are comparing Apples and Oranges here. Time and again I have told we should keep big SUVs (Storme, Fortuner, XUV) out of the discussion.

Can you find the seat height of Tata Nano, Ford Ecosport and Mahindra Quanto also.

@ Raja, you are correct , even Tata Nano has high seating position and definitely higher than Vista/Manza also. I think all tall boy cars have this feature and that is why its easier to drive these cars.

No. I wasn't. In fact in my reply , my intention was only to put a full stop to comparing Ritz with SUVs, which simply is meaningless.

I personally love driving a car with real low seats and steering. Of the cars I drove reqularly, Amby, Fiat, Zen, Manza and City, Zen had the best seating position with low steering - push the seat back and it is real fun to drive. Though getting/climbing out of the car had troubled me at times.

^^ I was just reading through entire thread and dint find a post where Ritz was compared to SUV. All the debate is about Ritz seating style is similar to SUV.

And if discussions are meaningless, why to bang your head on the same [;)]

@Manoj

This discussion of Ritz seating position has started in a different thread with different context.

Then the posts were moved to this thread by moderators based on their relevance.

I have never said Ritz is like SUV anywhere, but said with its height from floor it make you feel " SUV like seating" which is very much valid as I drove a SUV and a Ritz and other cars like Figo,Brio etc.,

It was IR who was interpreting between Ritz and a SUV to find the similarities and it is not my view.

All I have said is Ritz has a good ingress and egress and it feels like you are driving a SUV because you sit up right and high compared to other low slung hatches.

I don't think any more explanation is required here and digging too. If I feel Ritz seating looks like SUV seating then it is because of its height from the floor which is shown in the figures and what is wrong with that.

High raised seats and dashboard are surely a problem for RITZ user, specially if you don't have ZDi/ZXi variant. So no solution if you are a little tall, all you need to get use to that position, but if you shorter than pillow or towel on seat can help you somehow.

Don't worry RITZ is ergonomically designed well.

Manoj I dont think Gurrala meant Ritz as a SUV, its just his unique style of explanation(or the lack of it).

But Gurralla you are missing the point again, no one in his senses would be comparing a ritz with an SUV and i am sure you dont as well, all my intention was to understand what is it that you mean by saying SUV type seating (and it was not the first time you brought the SUV reference for a Ritz, my question in all honesty was to simply understand what you mean. But you gave no explanation unless i got to the details of it, you left it to my imagination and interpretation.

All I have said is Ritz has a good ingress and egress and it feels like you are driving a SUV because you sit up right and high compared to other low slung hatches.
Not once did you give the above explanation and instead went the interpretation route, let me reshare your quotes, i didnt take the names of everything from an M800 to a Storme. If you had given the above statement when i first asked, there would have been no debate. We were only trying to interpret what you saying, and you didnt help us with it.

To be very frank, I do not have this data which you are refering to and unfortunately I do not have time to explore them. My comments were based on my driving experience with M800,Alto,Figo,XUV,Storme,ES and Ritz
^^IR, It was comfortable with XUV,Storme and Ritz than other cars I mentioned, so you can interpret and conclude
it was me who brought the seat height factor, the ingress/egress explanations to make some sense - i was only trying to lead you to what you were trying to mean - I am not trying to prove here that Ritz is not an SUV, (i didnt fall on my head as a child:biggrin:!)

I think the case can be closed [:D]

The seating problem of Ritz is only upto Vxi model. I liked 4'' higher seating position. But I am told the seat has to be replaced by seat of Zxi model. No other option except pillow or cushion. But now I am accustomed with seat height, though my back rest inclination is around 98 degree.

Congrats Sidd7hartha Da,

Why you never mentioned you got Glistering Grey ? This color is absolute gem when comes to Ritz/Swift/Dzire and I'm little bit obsessed with this color. [:D] and to my luck MS discontinued this color just before my purchase.

Anyway your car looks beautiful and envious [clap]

On the other picture your front bumper seems little bit bruised ?
There is no sunfilm in your car, how you manage the sunlight with those big window.

------------------------

I installed a 'clearing stick' to understand the left side clearing and I'm using homemade pillow cushioning to view the bonnet and whole area - now it is clear to me I can't drive any car other than mine unless it equipped with 'Seat Height Adjustment'.

Actually I installed nothing after purchasing from showroom. Left side problem diluted, so I did not installed the stick. Though during early days I had such plan but Maruti Authorized Service Station, stated that could be done by piercing bottom chassis of car. I love my car so much I did not do that instead concentrated on guessing the left side and till now doing it successfully.

You clearly don't need any of these 'Acc' as you already familiar with Cars dynamics, but MASS/ Dealer always got tendency to telling lie and I came to realize only when I step out from their words and visited Aftermarket shop looking for rear bumper guard. (I know it is not recommended but can't leave unprotected my rear camera and sensor).

PCW Acc department always told me if I install any 3rd Party guard from Acc Shop will need to drill the chassis, but MGA one don't need to as those are plug 'n' play and they will get it for me - waited 6 long months for MGA one to arrive as well fearing not to get rear ended when ever I see any thing at RVM . But after the 2nd Free servicing visited near by shop and installed one which is just plug 'n' play - all it took 20 min install.

------------

Yes - the side stick need very small piercing but not in the Car Chassis nor the Car Body but the Plastic portion of the front bumper which I believe very negligible amount of damage comparing to real damage if I miscalculate.

---------

One question, Did you go through any other driving courses before you enrolled at PCW MDS ?
