Keith, on a silver coloured car, anything other than coffee interiors would be an unpardonable crime. Go ahead and let them overpower the beige cave, you will absolutely love it as would your family.

Last time I checked the lowest quote by Stanley for 'leatherizing' a Safari was Rs. 25000 and that included the door pads and steering wheel. And what a job they did! Ertiga quote must be off by say Rs. 5000 or so.

Oh coffee interiors on a silver car!![:D]

@jarpickle, you may wish to look at options from Autoform. In art leather these are simply the best and VFM too. It has a vast range that differs in designs and prices, suit your self. I guess 350Z too has seatcovers from AF in his Fiesta.

I have already checked Autoform. But they don't do custom interiors.I have liked one of their patterns though. Will be checking it out at their dealer.

Sam that Maserati is more red.The rest of my car is hopelessly beige and the dash is some shade of gray.If I go with coffee color I will have to do the cladding on all the pillars as well. Not to mention the headliner.I will do a test fit of a coffee or chocolate colored seat covers before I make a decision though.

25000 for leather interiors sounds way too good to be true. Was it full leather or a mix of leather and PU(art leather).

OK I just got to know the following two options for seat covers & wanted to check pros & cons of these & which ones to choose.

Art Leather.
PU Leather.

Anyone know more about this & can help me with details on experience with these? That will be great help. Thank you.

Buddy i opted for MGA Art leather seat cover, which was included in option in my package,it beige colored.Costs around 7k.(Extremely VFM with Fit and finish)

Otherwise Go to Sion koliwada region,There are stores which offer at 3.5 to 4k quality which i checked seemed to be ok,was satisfied with visual and feel of it,and you can also opt for various combination and design, price rate was 5 months back.

You can try at various location such as Opera House,Mulund Sarvodaya.

No matter what material you choose, go for dual color seat covers as they look much better!
I use fabric MGA which is better for hot climate and of course costs less. I would recommend you to choose from outside... with good quality.

The prices are not too different here either.

The fabric ones are cheaper than the PU leather ones.

Bargain as much as possible.

Actually those prices are pretty good for PU leather because some shops in Bangalore quote starting 12K for PU leather seat covers for a 7-seater.

So whats Art leather or PVC leather then? I understand that is even cheaper than PU.

Now the other question is how do we ensure we are getting what we are paying for??

Say I agree to pay 8K for PU leather seats at some shop, is there any way to verify that in the end that is what they are giving us & not some inferior quality stuff?

The feel/pattern is all same these days whether Resin or Art or PU etc. right?

The PU leather is consider as Art leather.....at least in shop owners language.
one cannot distinguish and confirm the originality of the product.
I could not find the manufacturer name etc. on any seat cover.

In my last car i installed the PU / Art leather seat cover. and it stated peeling off after 1 year.
That was in 2008.

That’s why still i cannot believe any of that product,.

If budget is not constraint then there are many original leather options available.
